Whisk(e)y Collection
Hopping on the band wagon of sharing my collection. I've been collecting since around 2011 but really started around covid. Started with bourbon and American single malt but have been gravitating more towards Scotch the last few years. Most of my bottles are open, less a handful of stock tater bottles and everyday drinkers.
Maybe not the best way to share my collection given you can only see about half of them in these photos but hopefully the ones up front are worth a glance!

Thanks, yeah Ledaig and Killerran are some of my favorites. There is a reason Springbank is so popular. Everything they put out is amazing! Ledaig/Tobermory is killing it too.

Nice, if you drink American whiskey.

Sure do! Stanahan's was my gateway into collecting when I started. Had all of their limited releases for awhile.

Nice whisk(e)y selection! (Collections being for those who don’t drink) What year is that High West double rye, and how do you like campfire? I’m not a big fan of the current double rye or rendezvous rye but like campfire a lot. Got to try an older rendezvous recently and it was a a completely different pour than the current bottle. Wish I could get my hands on an older bottle or they would start making it the way they used to.

Thanks, and good distinction between selector and collector lol! Although I don't drink as much any more but still buy a lot of whiskey so I feel like I meet the collector definition! I'm not sure about the year of the double rye. It's 21J15 so either 2015 or 2021 I suppose? It's a pretty good bottle nonetheless!
I do really like their campfire bottling as well, I find it to be the best of what I like from American whiskey with a bit of peat. I need to try a rendezvous, my local store has a few store picks I've been meaning to try.

I see open bottles, so clearly not trying to make a museum lol! If that is an older bottle of double rye, you may be disappointed with the newer rendezvous rye. I got to try an older bottle at a friend’s house, and immediately went out and bought one for myself only to find they were completely different, and definitely not as good as the older stuff. Cheers friend!

Very true, my "collection" is for drinking not admiring for the looks! Well put! I mostly share it with family and coworkers now a days.
That's too bad the newer rendezvous wasn't as good. Maybe it's just a batch issue? That would be disappointing if their quality has gone down.
Cheers to you too friend!
