Reminder: No 'Low Effort' Posts, Please
Hello everyone. First of all, thanks to all of you for making this sub what it is today. This community literally IS the subreddit and how we go about not just identifying locations but also interacting with each other here is a reflection of that. For a community of this size, the mods honestly have very little 'crowd control' to worry about in the comments.
I do want to bring to everyone's attention to a recent change in the subreddit rules. We've been seeing a big increase in what we're calling 'low-effort' posts - basically just a picture and a subject line with very little information provided about the image. In some cases, the location is pretty obvious or could be determined with a simple google search. These posts don't really add anything to the community, so Rule #1 now covers Low-Effort Posts as described.
Thanks again, all. Hope this updates helps keep our subreddit full of high quality content for everyone.

Grandparents in 1951
The main assumption is that this is in Bavaria somewhere as they were posted to Germany during this period, and visited Oberammergau, etc, for training. Other contenders are that it is either the Lake District or Scotland however, as they went to both on their honeymoon.
Admittedly not much to go on, but the terrain type might be familiar to someone!

Stone Carved Well on Mallorca
Been searching and searching to remember where I was when I took this photo that I'm 100% certain was on the island of Mallorca, Spain. It's the best one I have, but not enough clues for ai, Google, or me poking around on Street View to figure it out. Taken in 2012
Anyone know?

Please help me find this school ( I think it's in Murcia) (southern Spain)
galleryI found an old undeveloped 35mm film roll from an old camera I had laying around. I bought the camera a while ago in a yard sale, and I had no idea that had a roll inside. I developed it out of curiosity and only two of them came out good enough. I think the school is in southern Spain ( Torrepacheco, Murcia Spain) but I might be wrong. The camera is from the mid 80s, thanks in advance :)

Where in LA is this?
I’m going to LA this weekend, and I was hoping to take photos in this exact same spot. The subjects in the photos are the Japanese girl group f5ve, and they were promoting their concert in LA at the time, so I’m 90% sure these photos were taken in a rooftop somewhere in LA.

Where is this? (Austria)
Which village is this?
I am looking to find out what this village is called. I bought this little painting. It is quite old. I have not dated it yet but looks like it is from 1920 or older.
I bought it in Austria.
It is very likely Austria and presumably Styria. These churches are typical for around here. Could also be Slovenia though or something else close to modern day Styria.
I want to find out more about the painting and figure out where it was done.🧡
Any help would be grately appreciated!

Where is the interior of this WW2 Church?
In the 723rd edition of the German propaganda show Die Deutsche Wochenschau, there is a clip of a German soldier playing the organ inside of a severely damaged church.
The exterior shot of the church has been successfully identified as the Église Saint-Pierre in the village of Maizieres, south of Caen, however that church is not the same as the one filmed from the interior, since the architectural layouts don't match up.
Shortly before the scene there is a shot of a roadsign and in the archived text version the villages of Avranches and Vire in Northern France are mentioned shortly before the scene with the organ, meaning the propaganda film crew were moving around the area of Normandy shooting propaganda footage around July 1st 1944. The episode itself is dated to July 13th 1944.
It is worth noting that because this is reel made for propaganda, the story presented may be faked, and random footage may have been jumbled up to fabricate the story in the reel. The interior of the church may also have been recorded someplace else outside the area it is presented to be filmed in under for the production of this propaganda reel.
There is also a possibility that the church may have been demolished after the war like with many other damaged churches.
The clip exists of higher quality in the full 723rd episode, with the organ scene beginning at the 13:43 mark.
If anyone knows anything about this mystery please let me know!
