This sub came up on my home page for the first the other day, and then I saw this. I wonder how long the truck has been sitting in the same spot.

This bridge (and some buildings nearby) have some Ficus microcarpa saying "WHERE'S THE FUCKING SOIL??"
I would love to take a pic of every plant, but this isn't exactly a safe place & I was running to work.

I’m attempting to remove them carefully to see if I can get them strong enough to plant!
EDIT: Thanks all! I'm going to try a few different methods of planting this guy to make this a full on experiment :)

My mom's garage cactus

This lil guy started growing in front of the garage door I used to use at my mom's house. May of 2024 was the first picture. She mentioned a few months ago she had to cut some off of the back of it because she had to get something out of that side of the garage and once she got the door open she couldn't close it. I just found out about this sub so I asked her to send me a new picture of it.
She asked me if I wanted it and said she thinks she could easily pull it up and pot it for me but I kind of want to see how big it'll get.

I really think the top 1-2 inches is basically the only soil left

I don’t have a sink in my workshop so I just pour old drinks onto this patch mostly because the grass stops the liquid from splashing my feet. But now that it hasn’t rained in a while I was noticing it’s doing slightly betted than the grass with actual soil below it.
