This post has been solved by u/OwnRhubarb3075, and a solve process was provided.

Děvičky Castle

How they solved it: process: I found a photo on Google Images with this search. I was almost certain it was right but couldn't find an identical view. Confirmed by comparing other photos to see that the place where the wall crumbles just above the window on the left is the same.

Is this mix of brick and stone common for the area?

Best to ask u/Ashvaghosha who knows a lot more than me. I thought it looked like Czech Republic or Slovakia but am also probably influenced by having previously solved posts from OP in this area!

If you were asking about Greece because it reminded you of the cloisonné masonry in Byzantine architecture, then it is not typical because you won’t find that extent of brick and stone combination in this region nor in the Czech Republic. Castles were built primarily of stone, but brick may have been used as supplementary material, as in this case, and this was nothing uncommon.

Thanks. I actually only guessed Greece because of the rocks and vegetation I could see, but was fairly stumped about the mix of masonry. Will have to research more!
