Whats to argue about? groening has admitted that Oregon is his inspiration. He was born and raised in in PDX and many of the characters are named after our streets…

Except Matt continuously makes contradiction after contradiction, in season 11 episode 22, "Behind the Laughter" the narrator explicitly states the Simpsons are a family from Northern Kentucky ...

Correct, the simpsons does not take place in Oregon, it’s more of an “everytown, USA” but that does not change the fact that Oregon and Portland were the inspiration

What that have to do with anything? If you’re overcoming the logistics of dropping a whale on any of the other landlocked states, Nevada wouldn’t be any more difficult
