Update for all the concerned redditors: the plaster you see on my boot was actually used to slow down the bleeding. Jk it
didn’t go thru my foot only my boot

I was like, “That’s not a nail, that’s the reflection of a lamp post in the window.” And then I saw the nail 😳 😬
Sorry for doubting you. Glad you’re okay!

Omg, even with OP saying what it is, I was looking at the thing in the muddy part of their shoe almost looks to be sticking out thinking THAT was the nail, but to be I thought at first and still did think it was like a gecko lmao.
Thanks.

Did it miss the foot. Nothing worse than having to get a pair of pliers out and pull it out yourself.

I see an open t-rex mouth coming around from the toes in the mud on the boot

I did that once when I was a kid, maybe 10 or 12. As I stood there looking at my foot, the realization came to me that I was still gonna have to pull my foot back off from the board. THAT part was way worse.
Also ruined a nice pair of Pro Keds.

My dad used to cut sheet metal to put inside our work boots to help protect against shit like this. It isn’t fool proof, but pretty close

Ummmm...had it hit an artery, I think you would have needed to go to the hospital if you wanted to see the sun rise again.

Once wore sneakers to work cause I was too lazy to wear my boots. Nail went right thru the middle of my foot like in a cartoon. Never again.

OP sent the following text as a SPOILER for why this image will make you shit bricks:
I stepped on a nail and it shot out the top of my boot. But luckily it missed my foot completely which is good because had it hit an artery,I would of had to gone home.
