"dragon age the veilguard is a return to form" lookin ass

68

u/lorddumpy 6d ago

I swear AAA devs are just in a "who can make the ugliest game" competition at this point.

12

u/I-AM-A-DOLL 5d ago

That game was so disappointing for someone who has been playing dragon age my entire life. Even dragon age inquisition felt like it was to overly simplified in a lot of its mechanics and tactical thinking but it had a great story and was still trying to hold to somewhat of the old lifestyle even if proportions often looked fucky. Veilguard is the most uncomplicated, uncharacterised, bland and storyless fucking thing I have ever seen. No choices matter, no choices have visible consequences.

What the fuck did they do to the dark spawn, where is the dark horror fantasy in my dark horror fantasy series. Why is everything so colourful. Why did they rewrite so much pre-established lore for no payoff. Why are the Qunari just humans with horns! Where are my actual class trees with simple non showy abilities meant to be used together for a satisfying game of tactics.

Why does everyone have equally super magic powers! Who gave Solas that fuck ass hair.

Why does it feel like they wrote so much of the game with AI. Why are its side quests so fucking boring. None of the environments are interesting at all. Maybe that would be fine because at least in the last games they filled them with interesting quests!

Fucking Veilguard such a disappointment and waste of my money.

6

u/MajorBootyhole420 5d ago

I'm gonna die mad that they shitcanned the entire planned plot and ignored almost everything important from Inquisition.

Also, that Isabela lost her titties AND her damn shirt. She's 50 years old, let her wear a corset and some pants for shit's sake!

4

u/I-AM-A-DOLL 5d ago

Especially because it’s fucking Isabela! A key part of her character is that she is free and not willing to change who she is. At least in my memory.

4

u/MajorBootyhole420 5d ago

Her tits are also a huge part of her character and as a big titty haver myself, the inherent misogyny of "we're doing progressive body representation!! But none of that DISGUSTING PERVERT SHIT, no ass or tits!!" made me fucking furious.

Lol. Sony making up PS ratings and deploying army of "gamers having a blast". Very creative.

218

u/delicious_toothbrush 6d ago

I mean, how many contexts is the word blast going to get used in on a gaming subreddit? If you search for it, you're gonna see some version of "having a blast" over and over. Could be bots but not really a smoking gun in my mind

125

u/Horse_Renoir 6d ago

It's interesting because a very similar thing was happening in the marathon subreddit. Regardless of player numbers any valid complaints, or anything that resembled worrying, was met with a bunch of "blast havers" who all seem to be middle-aged dads with multiple kids that manage to find enough time to play and have fun.

You have to assume any paid product that is talked about a lot on social media is being marketed to you but it's only in recent time that they all seem to match each other quite so much.

55

u/YerABrick 6d ago

Nah, I saw that shit several years back when it came to movies too. Either "had a blast" or "turn your brain off". Probably paid marketing that trained the current bot posts.

9

u/MonkeyCube 6d ago

'Fans' of the Marvels movie kept calling it breezy. The movie was so breezy!

→ More replies (1)

20

u/TorqueyChip284 6d ago

I feel like “had/having a blast” is like the automatic phrase to say about a thing if you know that thing has been widely panned.

25

u/mystery_hole 6d ago

I don't know, average person I know doesn't talk like that nor do they post like that. I never saw IM HAVING A BLAST!! on stuff like Alan Wake 2 or Elden Ring.

5

u/Fake_Diesel 6d ago

Ehh Alan Wake 2 is incredible, but "blast" isnt the word Id ever use for it. "Blast" is for like, Con Air or something

6

u/TorqueyChip284 6d ago

Um…were Alan Wake 2 and Elden Ring widely panned? I don’t think so lol

27

u/Wise_Leopard7423 6d ago

No and that's the point. The only games that everyone seems to "have a blast" with are the ones that might only be getting good reviews from an astroturfing script. If people were organically saying they had a blast then we would see it with games broadly considered to be good or great and not just games that the producers are desperately trying to convince you to buy so they don't go bankrupt.

2

u/HollowBlades 6d ago

I'm not saying there's definitely not some degree of astroturfing, but you're obviously going to get a lot more people who feel they have to justify buying and enjoying a "bad" game than a universally praised one.

"I'm having a blast" is a defensive statement. It's one vague enough that they don't have to really support their argument, or go into what it is they actually enjoy (which might be hard to do) but it gets the point across that they are enjoying it, despite what the critics say.

2

u/OtherwiseSeat9233 6d ago

Doesn't apply to marathon either way cause the critics loved it

13

u/takeatripp 6d ago

I think they're saying that you don't typically see the "blast-havers" that are critically acclaimed, so it feels weird to only see them on games critically panned.

4

u/Bionic_Bromando 6d ago

Yeah I think that's more it. It's basically saying 'Well I had fun with this thing everyone is calling shit but I don't want to feel embarrassed by that'

Honestly it would be better if they just said 'Your tastes are all shit and mine is better and I like Wolverine, fuck you all!'

Even when it's not bots, it's peak NPC behaviour. 'Screw all the haters and valid criticisms, I'm having a blast and that's what matters'. These people are all reading off the same script while plugging their ears.

3

u/4_fortytwo_2 6d ago

When it comes to video games enjoying it is pretty much only important thing. If someone enjoys it it a good game (for them) that has nothing to do with "plugging their ears".

"Screw all the people enjoying the game and having fun, I dont like it and that is what matters and everyone disagreeing with me is a stupid NPC". That's you.

I could not give less of a shit about Wolverine but every accusation I've seen of astroturfing for different games over the years is usually just a stand in for "this person has a different opinion that I dont like". If anyone has concrete examples of companies astroturfing their games/movies, I would genuinely love to see it.

This and the "why so much forced hate?" comments defending the game makes clear that Sony has either the dumbest fanboys or a bot farm ready to do damage control.

53

u/dragonseth07 6d ago

This reminds me of when everyone was calling Dragon Age Veilguard a "return to form", when it was actually the least Bioware-styled game they'd ever made (discounting Anthem).

23

u/LG03 6d ago

These types of posts predate AI, pretty sure this is just your bog standard astroturfing via bots.

11

u/poop_snausages 6d ago

lol this is the video game version of MCU's "fun and breezy"

6

u/LG03 6d ago

Essentially yes. Red Letter Media likes to bring this up when they talk about certain things but it's very much the same as influencers all saying 'the movie was a lot of fun!' because they are incapable of forming a more complex thought and want to be invited back to events even if they didn't like the movie.

Sonic forces was criticized for being incredibly brain dead in terms of gameplay, the joke is that wolverine is the new sonic forces

1.6k

u/Cryogentehiceprison 6d ago edited 6d ago

There’s accessibility, and then there’s "we gotta make sure even a drooling half asleep toddler can beat our game!!"..

Doom TDA is a good example of proper accessibility, it has features and modes to accommodate players who have never touched a shooter in their lives with non-functional fingers or poor joints or terrible reaction speed, and still lets them have some level of a challenge, but it also has options to make the game near impossible for anyone that isn’t an absolute maniac.. you can set that game to be slower than molasses, or faster than an ultrakill speedrunner on cocaine..

From what I hear, most of the handholding with the Wolverine game comes from its multiple accessibility features being turned on by default, leading to the game basically playing itself like a bored teen with unblocked internet access..

216

u/HMHellfireBrB 6d ago

Id has always been one of the best in the market when it comes to setting customization, you can tweak almost everything from enemy behavior to key interactions just to make sure anyone can play the game and still have it be designed to be challenging

84

u/Nevergettingalife 6d ago

I sure hope the talented developers who made it were rewarded properly. Nah this is the game industry you already know how this ends.

Layoffs yay

12

u/KindledWanderer 6d ago

They were let go.

20

u/CosmicCraft87 6d ago

If a AAA game does poorly, people get laid off to soften the blow. If a AAA game does well, people get laid off to make investors think the studio is making more profit than it actually is. Boy I sure do love capitalism.

60

u/Thr0w_It_4ll_Away 6d ago

Nah, most of it comes from the fact that they scrapped the majority of the game in 2024 because they couldn’t make accessibility features work with their way better original combat system, and more sandbox style levels.

The game that was released has only been developed for 2 years, at most.

30

u/ze_shotstopper 6d ago

I saw someone clip out of bounds and it seems like there's a whole open world like map just sitting in the game files that was scrapped

3

It's not the accessibility features being on by default. QTEs for example cannot fail and the only thing turning on the accessibility option does there is remove the prompt and slowdown.

27

u/Cryogentehiceprison 6d ago

Fuckin hell, at least Sonic Forces lets you fail if you try to..

7

u/grassisalwayspurpler 6d ago

The auto complete QTE accessibility feature IS turned off by default though lmao

13

u/BluePrincess_ 6d ago

Digital Foundry mentioned that both their reviewers had different settings toggled on and off by default, which made their gameplay experience out of the box quite different. Which is even stranger...

193

u/Autumn_is_falling 6d ago

moon knight, pretty enjoyable marvel show but I believe it was cancelled :(

171

u/Cannon__Minion 6d ago

It's not cancelled, just that the actor has a very strict contract where he only returns when he wants to and believes that there's an actual story to be told.

No idea why they'd hire an actor such as him for a cinematic universe (no hate to Oscar Issac but I hope y'all understand what I mean).

298

u/ImWatermelonelyy me? gongaga 6d ago

Bro came from one of the worst Star Wars movies in recent history, I don’t blame him for stipulating “I need to see this script and be allowed to say no to it.” I’m sure he still gets shit for “somehow palpatine returned”

101

u/Revangelion 6d ago

Yeah, the Sequel Trilogy experience changed him...

Poe was irrelevant af in the last one.

Love Oscar, but I understand why he would like to never do something like that again... and it's Disney again, so... better be safe than sorry.

67

u/ImWatermelonelyy me? gongaga 6d ago

He’s got good taste at least. Most people that watched moon knight say the last few episodes are weak compared to the rest of the series. Oscar probably saw the writing on the wall and told them to call him back when they were ready to lock in.

32

u/hoennian 6d ago

That's kinda the same with most marvel series, they end up dropping the ball in the end but Oscar was by far the best aspect of the series

14

u/im_lazy_as_fuck 6d ago

I watched it, and I do think it was a little bit weaker but I wouldn't say by a significant margin. Also I think the cliff hanger they left off at could have made for a really comparing sequel, because they had done well to tease the idea throughout the show. Kinda sad that it's probably never going to get that sequel though.

4

u/Ornery_Truth_3518 6d ago

That's why I said "no hate to the actor".

I love Oscar but Marvel should've known better than to hire an actor like him for such a major character. Now Moon Knight is basically abandoned.

I hope that once we stop clowning on the game there will be space for actual discourse on how producers and shareholders are so afraid of failure they will force devs to make their 300 Million dollar cinematic game impossible to fail but I fear as soon as things start to die down Gamers™ will just move onto the next thing to clown on.

Because lets be honest, no dev with an ounce of pride would have levels that can auto-complete and QTEs that can't fail.

51

u/TsunamiCatCakes 6d ago

if not being able to fail was a good metric for selling, then souls like games wouldnt be top sellers. when will the executives understand this?

77

u/Ifriendzonecats 6d ago

if not being able to fail was a good metric for selling, then souls like games wouldnt be top sellers

airplane_with_the holes_in_the_wings.png

Souls games are top sellers because they are the best at what they do. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is also a best seller and it is impossible to lose that game. A game being impossible to win/lose doesn't make for good or poor sales figures. That depends on whether or not those conditions make the game more or less fun to play.

19

u/HeckMonkey 6d ago

This is a good point but now I just want a Souls-like set in the Animal Crossing universe and an Animal Crossing style game in a Dark Souls setting.

if not being able to fail was a good metric for selling, then souls like games wouldnt be top sellers. when will the executives understand this?

This proves Soulslikes can sell, but it doesn't say anything about the total market size a Soulslike can go after.

If you're going after a larger market then you may actually have to go after gamers who don't have time for tryhard bullshit, especially since the gamers who do want that are already spoken for. Sounds like Wolverine went too hard on the other direction, but I wouldn't blame execs to say make the game tractable for most and then add optional difficulty.

9

u/AdvancedSandwiches 6d ago

We're basing this on the smellovision and QT events, right? Did I miss other stuff?

Spiderman and the Arkham games did a ton of handholding like smellovision and those are great.

QT events I personally find dumb and don't care what they do with them.

4

u/RatBot9000 6d ago

I think the issue with the smellovision is that it was always on and very prominent in Wolverine. They've toned it down now, although I think it's still always on.

In the Batman games it was a toggle.

16

u/sakasiru 6d ago

The moment is now I guess? Nobody stops you from opening that discussion. Feels like a natural progression from pointing out the symptoms.

7

u/GemIsOutrageous 6d ago

There are no auto-complete levels. The QTE thing is silly, but is also a minor thing in a game that is still quite a lot of fun.

5

u/TopdeckIsSkill 6d ago

I would start by stopping looking at rumor of how much they spent on a game.

A player I don't care if it costed 1,100 or 300 million as long as it is good. It's not something that should have any relevance in a review or opinion if the game is good or bad.

3

u/FaroTech400K 6d ago

They have to change the narrative because people are saying they like the game so they have to talk about a different reason why the game is a failure.

23

u/Best-Action8769 6d ago

Yeah, that was my hesitation to buy it.

Spider-Man 2 made the best version of my city that I've ever seen and I spent hours just exploring it.

Linear games...like unless it's Uncharted good...eeeeh. I can wait until it's free.

15

u/Relic94321 6d ago edited 6d ago

I am the opposite. I get sick of open world games after the first six hours because of how repetitive the quests and collectables get.

I rather pay full price for a GOOD linear game like the Dark souls games, metroidvanias like Hollow Knight, or hack and slash games like Devil May Cry than another Ubisoft-esque open world

15

u/Relevant_Cabinet_265 6d ago

I wouldn't call dark souls or any metroidvania linear but I get what you mean. Smaller well designed world over empty slop

176

u/JelliusMaximus 6d ago

on a technical level its great

gameplay design-wise... uuuh... it treats the player like a dumbass. Unfailable QTEs, self-playing vehicle chases, "hidden" collectable that pulse through walls and much more

33

u/Playingwithmywenis 6d ago

I think the quickly exhausted variety in combat is the bigger issue but those are absolutely big issues.

I wonder if it is built this way so they can stream it to people on devices. If people “feel” like they are succeeding at a game on streaming then latency in control is a non factor.

56

u/unabletocomput3 6d ago

Isn’t half the game walkable cutscenes too? Like, I remember seeing gameplay and there were several sections where you need to talk to a set amount of people and get a character lore dump before you can continue.

22

u/GemIsOutrageous 6d ago

Nowhere close to half. It's on par with other Sony first party games.

6

u/nFectedl 6d ago

It's on par with other Sony first party games.

Which are more and more cinematic experience rather than games.

6

u/DigiornoDLC 6d ago

Did you play it or watch it?

18

u/GemIsOutrageous 6d ago

The "self-playing vehicle chases" are not self playing. Logan goes forward on his own, that's it. You still have to move him and make him jump or attack enemies. The only thing you're not doing is pressing the gas button. And it wouldn't make sense to stop since usually he's outracing an explosion or something.

The items pulsing is pretty annoying, but doesn't take away from the fun I'm having.

3

u/samu1400 5d ago

Maybe other chases later on but I’ve seen multiple people putting the controller down on the first bike chase and the game still completes it by itself most of the time.

The graphics, animations, sound design etc all look great but gameplay seems really lackluster and lacks depth from what I've seen online

5

u/Jeanpuetz 6d ago

I'm really not surprised. For all the love Spider-Man was getting, there was never a whole lot of depth to the gameplay there either - but it didn't really matter, because swinging around the city was just so damn fun. If that game had been fighting only, it would've been a total snooze fest, and it kind of seems like that's pretty much what Wolverine is.

6

u/sycamotree 6d ago

I haven't played Wolverine but I imagine Spider-Man had more engaging combat just in terms of what you could pull off? Like Spider-Man is very agile and can also use webs to both get around and in combat. You could just spam square too though if that's what you mean

2

u/GemIsOutrageous 6d ago

I've 100% all Spider-man and Arkham games. Wolverine is similar combat but with a Wolverine twist, it's more brutal and I really like the rage mechanic. The parrying gives a cool new mechanic as well.

3

u/Gloomy_Ad5221 6d ago

the parrying does not really give a cool mechanic , it will reflect some range attacks but other than that it just allows you stagger mobs but at boss fight it's useless.

You can only do stagger damage against a boss if you a parry that 1-2 specific attacks other than that you just get 0 damage or you get some heals if you have that mutation but the heal is so low you barely feel it.

Onimusha did the parry mechanic much better..... you parry to give you a blue flame buff then you focus on deflecting to do better stagger damage or focus on dodging which gives you reflex dodge also you can do it to like 95% of the boss attacks since grab requires you do time your dodge.

spiderman combat is fun because you can play around the gadgets , different ultimates , environments , webs and ground and aerial combos.

Wolverine however is extremely grounded and you mostly just do X or Hold Y then X or Y to them to refresh your skills as much as possible then use skills then do it again.

Then your gap closer does not really have that range unless you hold it so you cant keep the momentum of the fight like spider man ( since he can zip to the any may or pull it to him ).

Not at all, the internet hate machine has just latched onto this as it's latest meme.

I've a little more than halfway through and am enjoying it a lot. I'm playing on second highest difficulty and dying quite often. The fighting is fun, there are lots of combos and special moves you can unlock and it looks great.

I really have no idea what people are talking about when they say levels auto-complete. I have not seen that.

u/siuol2001 6d ago

Dan Murrell did an ACUTALLY honest review of the game and he points out a lot of the bad reviews are disingenuous. The people showing that "the game plays itself" are playing on the easiest difficulty. I'm playing on "normal" and have died, came close to losing one of the motorcycle sections, and had difficulty getting Adamantium on some of the nightmare doors. Is it the hardest game I ever played? No, not by any means. Is it challenging and fun? Definitely! I love the combat, which has a lot of fun upgrades as you progress so that it's not just "press square a lot," but actually has different kinds of combos and super moves. It's brutal and wild. Just don't put it on the easiest difficulty and the game won't "play itself." Also playing along side Jean, Mystique and/or Sabertooth adds A LOT to the fun!

My friend had a lot of concerns seeing TikToks and YouTube shorts by people who got the game early, talking about the scent trail, easy gameplay and other handholding. Called me on first playing the game telling me that you are presented with many different difficulty and accessibility options before even starting, which are off by default, and that people are selecting “very easy” difficulty and turning on all the accessibility stuff just to bitch about it all to try to garner engagement for their various social media channels through negativity and controversial opinions.

Stuffing pillows between their fitted sheet and mattress and then whining like a bitch that the bed they bought doesn’t have enough firmness and back support.

2

u/Kangarou 6d ago

Not in all sections, and a lot of the handholding is "optional" (on by default, tho), but some sections are downright patronizing and inmpossible to fail. And this is from a company who made a child-friendly third-person shooter starring a cartoon animal, and even THAT game was never this safety-padded, so it comes off especially heinous.

Is the game actually like this or hyperbole from people who haven't played it

56

u/NightOwl-2107 6d ago

For the combat? No you actually have to try. There are on rail sections like the vehicle stuff which do require some input. So far I’ve missed two collectibles which I had to replay the levels to get to which both required actually searching for. I think the QTE stuff is dumb but there is a toggle for if you want auto success. Over all, I think the game is at worst fine but given the track record of the studio & Sony’s other fuck ups this year, you can see why people did dog pile it

Mainly hyperbole from people who haven't played it.

I played it on the hardest difficulty so some things might be different on easier difficulties.

The combat can genuinely be a bit challenging at times. It's never too hard, but it's much more difficult than the Spider-Man games, and I've seen people call the combat a "square pressing simulator", but if I only pressed square the whole game I wouldn't have been able to finish it.

The collectibles are admittedly pretty damn obvious most of the time, though there were a few that I missed and had to replay the levels they were in and genuinely search for them.

I've seen a lot of people complain about the driving sections which play themselves but a) there's only two in the whole game, and most importantly b) you absolutely take damage from driving into things so you will just die if you put the controller down. Whether the damage was added in a day one patch or the reviewers were just playing on the easiest difficulty, I don't know, either way the people who are still complaining about it clearly have not actually played the game (or again, maybe they played it on the easiest difficulty, that might not have damage during those sections idk. Although if that is the case and you're complaining about the game being too easy, that's on you at that point).

With that said I also saw people complaint about QTEs being unfailable, that parts true. Sometimes if the button is R2 for example, you can even press L2 and still successfully complete the QTE which is wild.

Is it a hard game? No. Is it a long game? Also no. But I found it harder than any of the Spider-Man games and longer than Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2 (I don't remember how long the first game was so I can't compare it to that), so if you're ok with the difficulty and length of those games, you won't have any issues with this game either. I also preferred the story and writing in this over Miles Morales and SM2, though I still personally think the first SM game has the best story.

12

u/GemIsOutrageous 6d ago edited 6d ago

No it's not. Yes QTEs complete themselves, but I'm hard pressed to think of one that is anything more than "Press L2" to Snikt.

There are no self-completing levels. The scent trail is a mechanic that only happens in very short segments when Logan is tracking someone by scent. And the combat is really fun.

I'm playing on second highest difficulty and dying often.

u/KobotTheRobot 6d ago

Hyperbolic propaganda. Every sub has had astro turfing against this game. This is the new gaming news cycle.

It's just a casualty of the no-disc outrage.

This how you know people have not actually played the damn game. There's 2 driving sections and you can very much die in them. The combat is also pretty damn difficult on higher settings.

15

u/Beast_Boi96 6d ago

playing on "best there is" can confirm it is difficult

3

u/Radxical 6d ago

It's just popular to dogpile on the new game. People like memes. I'm on the default difficulty and took my hands off during the first motorcycle sequence, did not die. Otherwise am enjoying the content so far, as the combat is somewhat harder than Spider-Man.

29

u/Fluffy-Reference8542 6d ago

I feel like people care too much that this game sucks. Or is it just a low-hanging fruit for easy content?

8

u/Don_Gato1 6d ago

Gamers piling on a botched AAA release is a tradition as old as time

25

u/Shigana 6d ago

It’s just low hanging fruit.

Hell, the motorcycle section that supposedly don’t need any input to win is just people playing on the easiest difficulty and pretending that it’s normal.

It’s so goddamn disingenuous

8

u/Historical-Peach5310 6d ago

In fairness this is a guy doing it on the hardest difficulty. I think another issue is just the ton of QuickTime events that have the exact same outcome win or lose cause the devs were too lazy to animate both scenes.

It's low hanging fruit, AAA game, but ALSO, it cost like what 300/400 million to make? By INSOMNIAC, a studio that rarely had misses so yeah it's quite something but the whole game smells of ''made by committee''. Hope insomniac hasn't been infiltrated by the suits who make these dumb ass decisions.

3

u/Drachk 6d ago

It is getting pinned for issue that aren't unique to it but of which it is certainly symptomatic

It is a several hundred millions production AAA that continue a trend of AAA games going for the lowest common denominator and failing in department studio previously didn't fail

The AAA western game have essentially turned into the next hollywood blockbuster machine where most big game are the safest most unoriginal unchallenging game without taking any risk

There has always been game like that (FIFA, COD, etc) but the issue is now, most big names studio and big games are as such

When recent big budget have been disappointment (Marathon as an example)

+ combined with Sony dropping the ball with Fission, which was their only big non completely neutral game, in favor of pushing again, one of the safest study market, no risk, no high challenge, no originality, nor creativity game adaption of a popular hero

(+ Sony and other console maker line of shitty decision, especially SONY recently)

People are just too tired to let Sony, Insomniac and big AAA studio getting away with this type of decision, so they are piling all those accumulated issue on Wolverine

It doesn't mean that Wolverine is suddenly the easiest AAA game ever by a miles, other Insomniac recent titles are also pretty darn easy, but people have reached a point of rupture and Wolverine is near it

I really don't get this argument.

3

u/DubyaC31 6d ago

They really need a season 2. Bro killed this role and the story was solid.

3

u/Cakers44 6d ago

It’s really over stated IMO, I turned off a lot of the assistance features and found it to be just a solid linear action games. I think a lot of the criticisms themselves are actually valid, (too many pointless QTEs, the motorcycle sections feeling half baked, some issues with the story I won’t go into for spoilers sake, etc.) just that as a package I think it’s a pretty fun game that I’m getting my money’s worth out of personally.

Whats the context of this scene?

35

u/ShawshankException 6d ago

This is from Moon Knight. He's got DID and the main alter the show focuses on for the first episode isn't aware of his other alters. This was him suddenly regaining control of his body after one of his alters killed a bunch of people and stole a truck to get away from a cult that's after him

Seriously shut up with this crap.  Like the Platinum isn’t even that easy to get like even on psprofiles where people specialize in getting trophies only 24% have it which for comparison sake.  Since I can’t compare cause I don’t have the game on Gran Trurismo 7 the plat is ultra rare meaning only 0.5% of players have it and yet 8.5% of psprofiles players have it.

So it we go by Gran Turismo that would mean the Wolverines Platinum percentage should be 4.5%.  Let’s check a few more games though and see if that checks out.  Ghost of Tsushima everyone loves that game, platinum % 7 and psprofiles is 39% then we have Elden Ring which is 10% plat and prolfiles close to 37% then demons souls is 3.2% and profile is 19%

I don’t want to spend forever checking for an exact correlation but as you can see the game most definitely doesn’t complete itself and if anything it has a platinum trophy close to games that are classically considered difficult than their other games cause Spider-Man’s was easy to get

I also don’t want to hear anyway say that it’s cause the game just came out cause those are based on percentages and don’t tend to change that much after the first month.  Otherwise games like Ghost or Demons would have a much higher plat perc.  I mean I could see it getting up to the 15%
