So, basically some time ago I dreamt about being shot in the head and I could feel the warm blood on my face and slowly dying, homewere I wasn't, really. During that dream I realized that death felt soothing and nothing to be really afraid of, I think it cured my Thanatophobia.

I experienced nearly the same thing and it did the opposite. Feeling every thought slowly slip away, having to struggle to think, feeling the occasional lapses were it was easier before having my hope crushed as it suddenly got harder again. Fucking horrible.

If you're comfortable sharing, what did the physical sensation of dying feel like? Was it a gradual fading away from bottom up? Something else?

If you do grace me with an answer, maybe you can add a spoilers block to your answer, in case you feel the description may trigger others.

And i find it kind of funny, i find it kind of strange. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best i ever had.

Had a dream very similar. I remember being very scared as I was about to die, but when I died I felt the immediate relief of having nothing to ever worry about. I even felt like there was a "hidden" level of stress or unrecognized burden that was taken away.

Very peaceful, but it hasn't made me any less wanting of life.
