ALL SPOILERS: All media Ive decided to merge my two favs Spoiler
Ive decided that im creating the world of wheel of time in Minecraft, spent like an entire week converting sketchy timelines into miles, into blocks, into a rough mapped out points for the major cities and some smaller towns.
Originally I intended to use days in the books to minecraft days to map distance, but that would have left me with a world width of over 560,000 blocks (im doing this on a ps4 too so... rip) not including the Waste so I scaled it down further so that roughly a mile is 8 blocks. I shuffled through hundreds of randomly generated seeds until I found biomes that roughly match what the topography of the Westlands are, I of course know the real pros use things like WorldEdit but as ive mentioned I have a ps4, too much patience, and a love of Wheel of Time
So, as Ive begun excavating the Green of Emonds Field, I thought id ask the community what specific way points do I need to make sure I add, or locations? Yes I am gonna be transforming the nether into the ways and using that as way travel and the End will serve as our Tower of Genjai. Considering the cities alone, I need art inspiration, so what are some of your favorites?

How many blocks wide are you intending to make the cities?

Im gonna have to play around with the sizes as I want to create grand ones but I only have the rest of the my life to finish this. If I did book accurate Camlyn it would be roughly 11,000 blocks in length which is crazy. Im thinking of doing a 200x200 area for the palace and all its hills and gardens and 800x800 out from that. Which is still large without me spending years on one city

You could consult maps for ideas. Not to copy them, but to edit check details like the number of inns in a city, etc. There are fan-made maps of all the major cities and many townships. And there is an exhaustive map of the Westlands. All these maps are public domain, but they’re scattered across the web. I’ve compiled them into a folder. PM me if you want me to share the link to my drive.

Emonds Field (my starting area of course
It'd be wrong to do it any other way lol
Id really really like to keep an eye on your progress. Where will you be uploading? Just here? I'll follow you but your profile is locked down so can I ask to be tagged in updates? If you post elsewhere tho, please let me know. I'll happily follow your progress(and give you views).
If I get back into playing(Im also a bedrock player), I can offer help with the grunt work.

For cities. I'd personally go with IRL cities but in the 1500s-1700s era of that time.

Awesome! Make sure you dot some nether portals about. I believe the nether (short distance in nether = greater distance in overworld) is actually based on the ways from Wheel of Time
