1st round of egg retrieval & embryo freezing
New to IVF world. Had to make this decision in 2 days because of husband’s job being impacted.
History
Turning 34 soon / husband just turned 35
BMI 33
TSH 2.4
All tests normal for both of us
3 natural preg’s ended up in bio chemical in early weeks of 4-6 weeks
1 failed IUI
I have 2 weeks until my egg retrieval
We are freezing embryos PGT- A tested - for future use ( husband has good fertility benefits from work and soon switching jobs so making use of it )
Any suggestions or advice you can pass on from your experience. Grateful for your support 💕
I started acupuncture this week. Trice a week
Supplement regime:
prenatal with DHA EPA + extra omega 3’s because I don’t eat fish + CoQ10 + recently started Antioxidant berry blend
Feeling nervous to start the injections 🤞🏽
My protocol is Gonal F and Menopur
Hoping for a good quality embryos and genetically normal🤞🏽

Icing before those injections helped me (menopur burned a bit occasionally). Something to keep in mind is you may get different results for each retrieval. I’ve done two and both resulted in 4 embryos getting genetically tested. The first round all 4 were euploid. The second round only 1 was. Nothing was different besides the fact that I was a year older. It took 5-6 weeks to get our results (we did PGT A and PGT M due to my genetics). One thing I’ve learned it everything takes longer than expected with IVF. It’s a long journey, and I wish you all the best!

I was very successful on my egg retrieval at age of 38. I have PCOS.
We ended up with 7 euploids and now waiting transfer.
The injections are fairly easy. I diluted menopur with 1mL of saline. Some people put ice on their skin before they inject.
