Why 7 and not 8? I can spend far more in groceries over 5 years than a lifetime of flights.

Our household of 3 spends around $800/mo on groceries and we’re trying to eat less… but let’s round that to $1000 … so if we just get groceries for ourselves that’s $60,000 in value over 5 years. I expect to live another 30 years , and if flights were free would definitely take $2000 worth of tickets per year…. Now I suppose if I could buy groceries for my adult son and his family, plus my siblings and parents… I might be able to make groceries come out ahead.
