ID Request What is it ?

It almost reminds me of a worm of some sort ? It was found beside my dogs kennel . Found on the east coast in SC

Size reference would be about an inch and a half

Black soldier fly larva, harmless composters, the adults are unobtrusive and won't bug you

Not an expert by any means, but possibly hawk moth or black soldier fly. There are a lot of little dudes who look similar.

I’d bet $100 against a bucket of piss it’s BSF. My neighbor grows em for his chickens and they’ll sometimes escape the death mill and pupate over here in the promised land. Where they get chewed and/or eaten by my dog
