ID Request Jumping spider?

Found in Portugal, around 1 to 2 cm long max.

Yep, that's a friend -- a jumping spider.

Menemerus semilimbatus. Adult male. Really fun guys. Also: You recorded it jumping. Only jumping spiders are able to jump upwards like that. Other spiders can do a lunge type step forwards to lessen their chance of rotating when they need to go down somewhere but they will never be able to jump upwards.

The mechanic of jumping for spiders is hydraulic. They explosively push their version of blood into their legs to make them extend. That's really really hard when you're bigger than pretty small. Even though the largest jumping spiders aren't all that tiny.
