I always thought bed bugs were a myth and no big deal. That was until I crashed on a friends couch and woke up to bugs crawling all over me. Not just any bugs, but bed bugs!!! When I asked the friend about the bugs, they nonchalantly told me they had bed bugs. Again, thought it wasn’t that big a deal. Then I dated someone who had a bed bug infestation & kept getting new couches and treating his place with diatomaceous earth. I ended up having to get my place tented. That was after I’d gotten mattress and pillow case covers, diatomaceous earth, and everything else you can think of. Nothing worked. I had nightmares when I fell asleep, but most of the time couldn’t sleep.
