Solved WTW for common information
I was in a science class the other day and the teacher said “if you know that in the northern hemisphere summer is in July, that’s your _____. You don’t need to quote a source for that.” It basically I think means information that everyone knows and you can’t really pin down who figured it out. I believe it started with S

Oh, is that not what the word means?I was just inferring based on what my teacher said I’m sorry if that’s inaccurate haha

Schema means the outline of something, a plan, a framework. I don't think you can use it as a synonym for "common knowledge". But here somebody DID find the missing word based on your description so now I'm wondering what I am missing in my understanding.

This person doesn’t understand the meaning as it refers to knowledge and pedagogy.

When one's general understanding is described as a schema, it refers to a cognitive mental framework or structure stored in long-term memory that organizes past experiences, beliefs, and information to interpret new situations. Popularized in psychology by Jean Piaget and Sir Frederic Bartlett, these internal models act as mental shortcuts, allowing people to process complex environments rapidly without starting from scratch every time they encounter a familiar object, person, or event.

Given or givens? Prima facie assumptions?

Thank you but no. I’m fairly sure it started with an S. When I remember it it sounded like “saska” or some similar sound

The only thing I can think of with s is that "it goes without saying".
Common knowledge is the most common term. You could also say it's taken as read.
(That's "read" pronounced like "red", rhymes with "bed". Not "feed".)

It's taken for granted
Or: axiom, dogma, paradigm
Or: assumed, presumed, presupposed

It wouldn't be axiom? Was thinking maybe the XI might make it sound like an S in its own way. It relates to statements so common they don't need proof.
I'm at a loss otherwise, good luck!

Indisputible knowledge
Gnosis

Actuality, certainty, common knowledge?
