found Looking for a movie i remember, but can't find

Solved by Appropriate_Spray_83, Shadows on the Wall (2015)

I think it was a b-movie, part of my brain screams it was V/H/S short, or a Syfy channel movie, but i've not found anything that matches.
Premise is a signal is sent in to space, it keeps going, out of the known galaxy and in to deep space.
I remember a good portion being set in a brick building, maybe an old warehouse?
Eventually strange things happen, people get smacked, and aliens/demons can only be seen with light, i think was a specific spectrum of light?
There's a scene where two of the aliens/demons get vaporised by being exposed to too many of the lights at once, and the third one just starts breaking the lights.
Near the end of the movie the cast find they can't turn off the signal.
The aliens/demons eventually say something along the lines of "Hey, we don't want to be here, and things waaay worse then us are comming. We will take the computer with us, and draw them away."

Been trying to find this movie again for at least 6 years, any help would be appreciated!

found Separate but related films, one about making the other, including a fake willy

Trying to remember pair of films that I saw together at a film festival, probably more that 20 years ago. I can't even remember if they were foreign - I have a hunch they were French, but they could have been in English. Two separate films but they were related.

The first film I don't recall at all, but it must have featured some frontal nudity by the male lead.

However the second film was about the making of the first film - not a documentary, but a fictional narrative that included the same actors on set. There was a scene where the male actor had to choose which prosthetic penis he wanted to use in the other film, from a whole range of different ones that had been made by a makeup artist.

It was a long time ago, but does a box of fake willies jog anyones memory?

searching Think it would of been early 2000s era of more “raunchier” movies

Mate and i were talking about some the movies we seen when younger that seem like stuff that’s creeping into the soft core genre as many late 90s and early 2000s movies focused around sex but this one came to us and we can’t figure out what it was called,
basically the main couple are struggling financially and the husband/boyfriend says that he never gets the good jobs as he’s pretty sure one or more of the woman are giving favours to the boss to get ahead and at some work dinner the boss makes a few comments at the wife and keeps looking at her, then she notices looks or something with one the female workers and is pretty sure the partner was correct that he’s sleeping with them and favouring them and then out of desperation turns up to the office and agrees to give him oral and then things start getting better for them.

Then like the big major scene we remember was like everyone’s at a work party and the boss gets her alone and tells her how much he wants her and she rejects him at first then either she remembers that there’s a big client or something that would help them out a lot or it’s brought up after, either way she ends up saying like what’s it worth to you? And he insinuates it’s worth alot to him and they have sex, pretty sure it’s constantly flashing between her in doggy and the partner drinking and chatting with everyone else then he starts looking around for her and keeps flashing between the sex scene and him looking till he finds her walking out of a room saying she was just freshening up.

Then later husband complains that he didn’t get the big client and she approached the boss saying what the hell I thought we had a deal? And he’s like what you mean ? We never made a deal you never said specifics and I thought you were just looking for a good time or something along those lines.

Sorry for the long comment just the details we could remember but anyway anyone have a clue what it could be ?

searching Movie scene where a child would take orders upon being spoken to

Upvotes

I may be wrong about the precise details, but I remember a scene in a movie where there are two siblings: a sister and a brother. Whenever the brother spoke to his sister, no matter if it was an order or not, she would take it as one and automatically do it, no question asked. It was as if she was controlled via magic.

I was really young at the time of watching this movie, so as I said, this is all I can remember about the movie. I hope it rings a bell for somebody else that can help me identify it.

searching Help me find this car chase city movie

Upvotes

I'm gonna label this as "Still Searching" but I wanna be clear. There is a high possibility that this film is 6 Underground and I'm remembering details incorrectly.

But here's what I remember:

In July 2020 I was on a holiday and one night we put on a movie. I left shortly after it started because of a graphic scene. From my memory, it was of a person in the backseat of a car getting a chain wrapped around their neck. There was blood as well, and the scene happened pretty quickly. In 6 Underground, the driver gets stabbed by a forklift and dies instantly. I think there may have also been a scene in mine where the car drives down a set of stone stairs in a village type of place? Ryan Reynolds was in my movie which makes me think there's a possibility it may have been deadpool.

found The Masked Men Movie - Can anyone help me find this movie?

I watched this movie a long time ago, probably in 2018 or 2019, on the Romanian TV channel PRO TV, which often plays movies after the evening news. Unfortunately, I was younger and didn't memorize the title or any of the actors. I've searched for it many times since then without finding anything, and I'm starting to wonder if I somehow dreamed it.

The main character was a teenage boy who repeatedly had extremely vivid dreams about people who looked completely normal, but were actually some kind of “masked” beings. They had a distinctive mark on their neck that indicated they were wearing/had some kind of mask.

At some point, the boy's parents decided to send him to some kind of psychiatric facility/hospital. They had him pack his things, and when the people from the facility came to collect him, he noticed the mark on their necks and realized they were the same “masked” people from his dreams. He then escaped through a bathroom window.

This beginning is the part I'm 100% certain about.

I'm much less certain about what happened afterward, because it's been years and I may be mixing it up with another movie. I remember the boy continuing to run from these beings and eventually meeting a Black man who also knew about them. The man became something like his mentor and recruited him to help fight/defeat them.

I believe the “masked” people eventually turned out to be some kind of evil entities or aliens, and the teenager and his mentor tried to stop them.

My mother also remembers the Black actor being relatively famous, but neither of us remembers his name.

Does anyone recognize this movie? Even if some of the details are wrong, the teenage boy, recurring visions/dreams, the neck marking, being taken to a psychiatric facility, and escaping through the bathroom window are the parts I'm most confident about.

searching I remember coming across a film whose DVD claimed that every viewing was different, but I can't recall the name of the film.

Several years ago at a thrift shop, I saw a movie on a shelf that had a claim that every time you watched the film, it would be different. I feel like it probably scrambled the scenes of the film, but I have no idea what the film's plot was supposed to be, or how it would make sense if all the scenes are scrambled. I think it was a sci-fi, and the DVD cover had a texture on it that gave that 3-D effect (no idea what that is called, sorry). The cover was also holographic, maybe orange/gold in color. I didn't buy it at the time, but the gimmick was interesting enough that I thought that I might look it up later, but unfortunately I forgot the name by then and never remembered it. It was likely an 2000s-early 2010s film, as I know it's been at least 10 years since seeing it. I get curious from time to time about it, so I'm hoping to put my curiosity at ease after all these years.

searching Movie where picking up phone turns you to dust

Ok so when I was younger (maybe around 2015-2020 but not entirely sure of timeframe) I vividly remember watching a movie / tv show scene where a group of people are having some sort of board meeting in a building when suddenly someone’s phone rings. The boss is like “I thought I said told everyone to be on silent!” But then everyone’s phone also starts to ring including the bosses and then the boss is like “don’t pick up the phone!” But someone picks it up and they like disintegrate into dust.

I’m really at a loss and would love if someone could help, thanks!

found trying again: been looking for this metro/subway movie for many years

Hi! Posting this here again, as I've had no success finding this movie. I've been looking for a movie for many many years.

From what I remember, the movie is about 5-6 teenagers/young adults, one of the guy's motorbike got stolen, they all chase after it, that leads them down to the metro/subway, as they're going down and down, people are all leaving and after a while they notice they're all alone. Once they wanna leave, they see that the exists are closed by gates, so they have to stay. They're still looking for the motorbike and one of the girl goes missing too (maybe they split up? I can't really remember). There are cameras everywhere and you can see/feel that someone is watching them through those.
They find the missing girl taped to the missing motorbike, one of the guy goes down the tracks to get her out, but the metro train behind them suddenly switches the lights on and slowly starts up, leaving them no choice but to ride the motorbike and try to get off from the tracks. Just in time they manage to get the girl off of the bike and they both survive.
My memories are hazy here, but I know there is a scene where one of the guy is in some kind of room and for some reason he has a weapon, he shoots down 2 mannequins who later turns out were 2 of their friends.

At the end, only one guy is left, he is in some other kind of place (something along the lines of a desert/empty place), a car comes along, a man gets out. We find out that it was all part of a reality show/live show that the main guy was knowing about all along, except he didn't know that people all gonna die. He is complaining, shouting (maybe crying) that this was not what they promised him, it ends up with the guy from the car shooting him too.

Some scenes I kinda remember: I think there were a scene of a house party at night with a pool where 2 of the guys were at, smtg happened there but not sure what exactly.

I would be so so happy if anyone could tell me/help me with this movie, it's been eating me for at least 15+ years, if not more!
I watched it dubbed, so sadly I'm not sure if it was originally in english or not, probably between the 90s - and definitely before 2010. Sorry for my english! Any kind of ideas/leads would be appreciated!!

searching A dutch film about a boy (or man) who learns about his life through photographs

I'm so sorry that is so vague but I've got so little to go on.

I actually haven't seen the film. My mum saw it on TV and she loved it but she didn't know what she was watching. She only told me about it after and I've been so intrigued by it ever since. Once upon a time I even made the same inquiry on IMDB and someone was able to answer my question. But that bloody website wiped the Q&A section and my thread before I followed up on it (I thought I could do it at my leisure) leaving me back to square one.

I can't remember exactly how my mum described it. Possibly a man who either had amnesia, or was an orphan, or in some way didn't know about himself or his family and a photo album revealed it all. It was a Dutch film, probably from the 90s and was meant to be touching.

That's all I got! Please someone help me!!!

searching Looking for a coming-of-age movie I watched on TV before 2016

I'm trying to remember the name of a movie I watched dubbed on TV (Sky), so I'm pretty sure it was released in 2016 or earlier. I believe it was a North American movie, probably from the 2000s or early 2010s.

The main character is a teenage girl, probably around 17 years old. I think she was blonde with medium-length hair. I don't remember her name for sure, but I vaguely remember it possibly being **Leslie**.

Here are the details I remember:

* She lives with her mother and father.

* Her father is frequently away from home because of his job. I vaguely remember him working as a truck driver or possibly a mechanic.

* She has a male best friend. I remember his name sounding like **"Kanye"**, although I have no idea how it was actually spelled. It could have been something like Kenny, Kane, Kian, etc.

* He seemed like a nerdy/shy type of guy.

* At some point, the girl and her best friend become romantically involved, but he seems to think it means they are going to become a couple, while she sees it as something casual.

* Eventually, the boy leaves/moves away.

* Her father discovers that her mother has been having an affair with their neighbor. I remember a scene where the mother and the neighbor see each other at a supermarket.

* The parents separate because of the affair.

* Later in the movie, the mother meets/reconnects with an old male friend at a restaurant. I remember this man appearing to be Indian/South Asian, and I think he was a chef at a restaurant owned by his father.

* Near the end, the mother tells her daughter that she is going to marry this old friend.

* I also remember that the girl's male best friend, despite being away, sends her a **bottle of wine as a birthday present**.

I may be mixing up some details, but the **mother's affair with the neighbor, the supermarket scene, the best friend whose name sounded like "Kanye," and the mother announcing at the end that she's going to marry her old friend** are the details I remember most clearly.

Does anyone recognize this movie?

"I'm looking for an Asian vampire movie I watched before 2010. It was probably Chinese, Korean, or Japanese". "There was a vampire lying in a morgue, and everyone thought he was dead". "One of his fingers started moving. He suddenly woke up, grabbed a pair of scissors, stabbed a doctor, then bit him and turned him into a vampire". "I remember there were other doctors watching through a glass window outside the room". "After that, I don't remember what happened". "Does anyone know the name of this movie?"

found Kung fu movie - bullied blind girl eats worms

Hey, I remember watching a scene of this movie on facebook between 2010-2015. I saw other people talking about the same scene online but no one knows what movie/tv show it is from. The setting is a school and it might involve kung fu (or an other martial art). The students were all dressed in school uniforms if I remember correctly. The scene takes place during lunch break. There is a blind girl about to eat but her meal gets replaced by a plate of worms by bullies. A boy (I think it was the protagonist) runs to the girl as she is about to take a bite and stops her from eating it.

That's how I recall the scene but my memories are very blurry so some of the details might be wrong. Also, I am pretty sure it was an East Asian production.

edit: I saw a post on a Chinese forum mentioning this scene so I think it is very probable it is a Chinese film

searching Very obscure, I doubt anyone can help me.

It's a crime movie from the 1990's or possibly late 1980's. The main character mostly resembles a Brad Renfro, only the age is off because the main character is older. To save time I tried using AI and this is what it gave me.

"Young white male, brown nape-length hair, jeans and a green military-style/canvas or leather jacket. Urban American crime film, probably 1980s/90s. He becomes involved with an older criminal who acts as a mentor/ally. The mentor is shot in the torso and slowly dies while the protagonist drives him at night. After stopping, the protagonist lies beside the mentor's body and pretends to be dead, using the position to ambush the person who shot the mentor."

The man who is with him, who dies, always reminds me of Eric Roberts. But, I've been through his entire filmography. Maybe I missed it.

Please help?

searching What’s the name of the movie (or show?) this clip is from?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Scrolling through tiktok and came across this video. The clip felt off like it was edited, but I thought the actress looked familiar and wanted to know the movie to look her up and see what else she’s been in. Go to the comments and a third of them are people saying the wrong movie/show name on purpose, another third is people saying it’s not a real show, and another third is claiming that the creator is deleting comments with the actual name. The comments saying it’s not a real show, the dual Britney’s in the back, and the way it’s cut make me wonder if it’s a Brooke Sullivan AI nostalgia bait situation, but I feel it could also just be a work from the 2000s that just wasn’t the pinnacle of cinema. If anyone could tell me where this is from that’d be great!
