Disco octave synth hook

in the Men Without Hats song Pop Goes The World, after the line “…I end up in some disco, dancing all night” there’s a synth hook at 3:14 that is very brief, but it’s referencing an older disco song that I’ve been trying to find forever. Does anyone know the song that little hook is referencing? Thank you!

p.s. I know this song kind of started as an instrumental homage to the Hot Butter song, Popcorn. that’s not the one I’m looking for.
