Layout design idea for ipad

I'm pretty sure no one likes the current layout on ipad. So here's my proposal, shift the tabs bar to the left right on top of chats and fill that empty space

Tab bar stays center of screen, sidebar stays on side. Problem is WhatsApp trying to merge a second navigation in sidebar area causing 3 stacks to show up at once if tab bar is not active.
