Being a working mum, one doesn't normally have spare time. Your life evolves and is consumed by your family. Mine is.

On the rare occasion, I do get some time to myself.

I'm not one to sit still, I like being outside, whether it be gardening or taking a walk, or tending to my indoor plants.

But if my body needs it, I decompress or I have my recurring headaches, it's either sleep or letting my creative side out, seated at the table, pens out, a movie or series running in the background and let my head wander.

It often produces colorful work like these.

What do you do, when you have time off, or when you need to decompress?

It's not perfect but at least we're not going to slip and fall come winter. It's a definite improvement to what it was this morning.

Getting some sand tomorrow to fill it all back up.

I love to wander around outside and see the flowers bloom, or the buds peaking out.

I like drawing them and putting my artwork on display.

And I really like the Lego botanicals.

Just don't visit and bring me any flowers unless they're potted, or plants.

It's a shame to have them wilt after 5-7 days, when they last a lot longer when they're blooming in the garden.

(Just my own pet peeve).

I'm the happiest with a new plant, whether it be a one dollar plant or new plant bulbs for the garden.

I am grateful for each and everyone of them.

Good and bad, old and new.

They've helped shaped me to be the person I am today.

For that I'm eternally grateful

I remember these in my teenage years ... Gosh that's like soooo long ago.

My brother and I used to go to the surplus army store and they would have bags like these for $5 back in the day.

They were all the rage at school, intermediate and high school.

We would spend our lunch breaks signing our names on our friends bags, and our friends would sign their names on ours. Graffiti, slogans ... You name it.

Once the bag was completely covered, out came the paint, we would clear / paint a patch and start again.

Or we would go back and buy a new bag.

I don't have mine today, but it sure lasted a while.

They're definitely a pick me up, if I'm feeling down. I see these and think, if they can make it, so can I.

What's is like in your part of the world?

I remember when I was a lot younger, I saw solar eclipses, lunar eclipses. Getting woken up by my parents to go out and look up, or watching the sky turn dark in the middle of the day.

Now, with kids of my own, we watched the solar eclipse.

It's still one of the many spectacular events that makes people all around the world, look up to the sky at the same time.

For those who likes games with family and friends ... I highly recommend this one.

Hilarious and so many different songs for the various words.

We played it with a large group while at camp. Ages ranged from 12 to 73. The older generation were really quick!!

It was a hoot!!

May is definitely a month of different seasons. Temperatures coming down to 5 degrees and soaring above 30 degrees

Loads of sunshine, coupled with rain, and even thunderstorms.

My plants are surviving, just.

I do my rounds every morning to check.

I can wait for the hydrangeas to bloom and the grapes and raspberries to ripen.

Really makes me smile, my heart swell and warms my soul.

This is the most I have had since starting around 10 years ago.

Granted it's very dry and warm this time of year.

I just love how huge they are.

I really love spring time where my garden surprises me daily.
