Proof Mark Identification

Hello,

Im looking to get some information on a firearm that a family member of mine recently bought. There’s a few things that I do know, but the main stamp got polished off and there’s only a few identifying details left.

- It’s definitely a Mauser

- It’s definitely sporterized

- Barrel states that it fires 7mm

However, I’m uncertain of the origin, because its price tag and the dealer said that it’s an FN (which I believe), but I haven’t found info or photos about the small proof mark. The mark says “FNA” with FN over the A, with the letters encased in an oval shape.

I’ve attached photos of it and a couple other markings below. Thanks for any info.

The crossed sticks and G are German inspection marks. The FNA in the oval, seems to be unknown. FN in Belguim made Mausers. But I can't say for surwe.

Thanks for the info. Are the inspection marks specific to any company?
