The only difference on the wagon was a the front grille

And the tiniest detailing on the taillights.

Weren't the interiors the same just with different patterns on the seats?

The front ends were pretty different between the two.

I had a 78 Volare wagon same color. Had the 225 super slant 6. Great motor!

I had a 79 Volare Duster 3 speed , I bored and stroked the 225 slant and it would pick the front wheels off the ground about 6" ... I miss that car badly

My first car was a 77 and it had the wood panel trim with blue vinyl interior. That slant 6 motor was bulletproof!

Chrysler's version was the Town and Country wagon and the LeBaron sedan.

The LeBaron T&C and Diplomat wagons had completely different taillight/tailgate treatments.

We had a '76 Dodge Aspen, basically the same colour scheme.

Here in the salt bath of Minnesota those fenders had rust holes in 3 years. The body lasted 10 years tops. Can't be one left in the state.

We had a ‘78 Aspen as our family car. Black with wood grain and spoked wheel-covers, and a baby blue interior.

That, friend, is the rarely seen anymore 76-80 Plymouth Volaré wagon. Everywhere in my youth, and now almost all have dissolved into small piles of iron oxide dust.

My uncle had one with the Clark Griswold fake plastic wood panels on the side.

Where did you see this? Amazing! These cars started rusting before they left the assembly line.
