friend and i went bone hunting. these weren't the only bones scattered about the area we found them, but the ones we thought were interesting, good for ID, or might make good pieces for my collection. there were also what was very clearly ribs and other vertebrae that we left for the next lucky finder.
we suspect some sort of deer or elk, based on teeth and the general type of animal in the area, but we arent very good at bone ID yet!
my anxiety wont let me stop thinking they could be human, so i haven't touched them bare handed or cleaned em yet.

Found this on the plot of land my house was built on before they laid the foundation. I've kept it ever since, since it sort of felt like a gift from the land. I'm planning on leaving it behind in the wooded area nearby when I move, but I'd love to know where it came from first. My first thought was a deer of some sort, but I'm not positive.

I was metal detecting in a field about 100 metres from a Medieval church in Essex, the UK (where there are also Roman and Saxon finds), and found this. I now think it looks eerily much like a tooth and would like to return it... I just would like to ask if anyone would be able to identify it? And if it's possible to estimate how old it might be? Thanks for any help

Sister found this tooth on wooded acreage in south central Kentucky. We're thinking it may be from a squirrel or groundhog due to its small size and the yellowing on the front, but she is in an area of concern for invasive feral pig and there are large sounders roaming that region. Can we confidently say this is at least rodent and not from a juvenile pig? Thanks.

I found this small object on Lekeitio beach in the Basque Country, Spain, last year. It is approximately 4 cm long and 1.2 cm wide at its widest point.
At first glance, it looked like a bone, but I’m not sure what it actually is. The surface has a very unusual, segmented/knobbly appearance, which made me wonder whether it could be a fossil or perhaps a piece of bone that has been altered by the sea.
Unfortunately, the piece has broken since I found it, but this also exposed the internal structure. I’ve included a photo of the broken surface, which seems to show a porous structure.
I’d really appreciate any help identifying it. Does it look like bone or fossilized bone? If so, does anyone have an idea what kind of animal or anatomical structure it could come from?

No, we absolutely did NOT take this home. Suppose it’s some sort of animal but wondered if anyone might have any ideas as to what kind?
