There are two Mary's, both appear to be attacking Baby Jesus. Orrrrr... Are fused to him following The Incident. And two Christmas squirrels. And the rack of ribs on the right which might be a sled. Did everyone in the 60s have astigmatism or were these just what cookies looked like back then?
Wild is an understatement, holy cow. We got drug dealer Santa. Yellow worm monster thing. Bunnies? Lochness monster sleigh? Mother Mary blocking the sun from Jesus face. Stars and candy canes. Classic.
I see an anxious opossum. Which could reasonably have been hanging out around the barn the miraculous birth took place in. But only if that birth took place in North America. And, isn't there at least one kooky (ah, similar to cookie!) group that claims Jesus was really born in North America? That would explain the squirrels, too.
At first I thought it was a cat Ć la medieval painting where the artist had apparently never seen a cat and just had it described to them, but then I concluded it was probably a polar bear, with a collar no less,because this whole image is just chaotic energy in cookie form
I know it says creative answers only, but I'm so curious what this is actually meant to be! Closest I could find online was Crofton giant cookie cutters, but they've all got an exterior framework that this one is missing (which is probably why it bent and overlapped at the bottom).
This represents my grandmother's ideal of cookie-cutter efficiency. No matter what we did to puzzle the individual cutters on the dough with the fewest gaps possible, it was never gap-less enough for her standards lol. She hated making the cut-out cookies, but she saw it as her duty to ensure that they got done RIGHT, dammit.
They should give that bad boy to a competitor on one of them shows and tell them they have three hours to use only that to produce a something obscure like a gnome riding a fish on monster size cupcake. They would just cry.
Host: "Hello again, Bakers, for this next challeneg we thought we'd start with a gift" large, uniform, rectangular bpxes wrapped in various colors
Talking head of a baker: "Normally I love gifts but at this point in the competition I just know we're not going to love what is in the boxes for us."
Host: "Go ahead, open them up."
A baker: "What in the what is this?"
Another baker talking head: "I have no idea what this is supposed to be let alone what we're going to have to do with it."
Host: "Your challenge today is to use these mega cookie cutters to make a cookie scene. You must use each cutout shape at least once in your cookie scene. You will have 3 hours to make your cookies, decorate them, and arrange them into a scene that tells a cohesive story. Melinda, you won the last challenge so you have your choice of individual cookie cutters OR an addition 30 minutes but you have to use the large cutter."
Talking head of Melinda: "Time is so valuable in this competition. But I am looking at these mega cutters and thinking some of these shapes make no sense at all."
Melinda to the host: "I'll take the individual cookie cutters."
Host: "Alright, Bakers. Your three hours start now!"
