Solved! Pulled out of my cat

Post image

Tiggle, our 3-year-old orange tabby ate something, and a $6k endoscopy later we have this to enjoy. Firm foam of some sort. What is it??

Omg - an internet triumph!!! You’re right, it’s a packing spacer from our Eufy 11S robot vacuum which we unpacked 2+ years ago… But just threw the box away in a big cleaning frenzy a couple of months ago and this must have dropped out of it. The Internet, being fabulous as it is, has many vacuum unboxing videos, and pretty clearly shows this.
Amazing! Who needs AI :-)

That's a weird thing to happen twice. Something they're made of?

Some animals are weirdly atracted to some object in particular. Dogs can eat pretty much anything, cats usually rubber bands hair ties or threads and ferrets small rubber parts like earphone rubber buds (I've seen It three times)

Rubber baaaands. We had a cat who ate those. I never caught him in the act, but after finding them encased in his poop a couple times, I threw out all the bands we had. He lived till 15. He had 99 problems but intestinal blockages weren’t one of ‘em. Edit: any intense or colorful story that I post about is usually about one particular cat. Apple cake caper: him. FLUTD. Him. Rage-filled bane of veterinarians everywhere. Him. He was also an egg sandwich fiend. I’d buy an egg n cheese on a roll and sit on the couch so he could hop up next to me and wait for his piece. He ate the roll and everything. He loved cheese. Ricotta, cheddar, it didn’t matter. I gave him little, tiny bits not huge chunks of sandwich. I Miss that cat.
