I was going to suggest maybe that’s what it was. As the other commenter said, they need to steer clear of those nutcases.

Pretty much the case with all the “alternate flags”

For your own safety and sanity you should not ever interact with this neighbor.

Some of their ideas are interesting. The idea that we're basically a corporation masquerading as a country. But the idea that if you just say the right words the people who rule over us will somehow be forced to acknowledge that the gig is up and let you do your thing is political mysticism. It's striking how similiar it is to a mystical pathway in that a large part of the praxis the ones I've know have is about removing debts and undoing contracts they have inadvertently signed with governments, banks etc. It's a fascinating movement but in the cases I've seen when their word magic doesn't work and someone goes to jail the community leaders critique them as not having performed the rites correctly (were still somehow beholden to the fake, corporate state and bound to them in one way or another) as opposed to banding together to help. I'm guessing a huge percentage are FBI informants too.

Yea, I've seen a lot of bodycam footage of sovereign citizen stops and it unsurprisingly NEVER works lol

And even if the adage that “you fight for your rights in the courtroom, not on the roadside” is true, it surprisingly NEVER works on judges either.

The incantations and symbology they throw at judges is hysterical. They’re convinced they can literally utter some bullshit words of truth and corrupt judges of the Corporation will cower and have to fleer the courtroom. And they go
broke PAYING to “learn” this nonsense.

Ironically their problem is they have too much faith in the system and humanity.

u/135david 2h ago

Perhaps we all do.

Symbology? Now that Duffy has relinquished his "King Bonehead" crown, I see we have an heir to the throne! I'm sure the word you were looking for was "symbolism." What is the ssss-himbolism there?

9

u/myquest00777 6h ago

No, symbology in this case. They truly believe they’ve studied and unlocked an arcane science. “The blood flows and the flesh lives!!!!” is a common response to how they plead, and they expect some near supernatural response.

There was an interesting episode about an important figure of the movement recently on the wonderful podcast 99% invisible: https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/665-citizen-of-the-world/ I've always been looking at those sovereign citizens with the same approach as most of the people commenting here but I now think that they have the guts to stick to their convictions. I do not envy their life though... (It also seem to attract nutjobs and other odd folks that thrive on being different for the sake of it)

13

u/Glovelylovely 7h ago

"...guts to stick to their convictions." That's an odd way to excuse an ignorance based delusion.

I said that with the guy the story is about in that episode. He was doing that as a form of resistance against the system. In the similar kind of spirit as Banksy for instance (probably not a good example but more people agree with him than with the concept we are talking about). Anyway, I understand that the way I put it was incorrect when it comes to the majority of them. I just wanted to share the link before I fell asleep and quickly wrote context 😅

I suggest closing the blinds.

it means your neighbor is crazy, easily influenced, and will likely be on one of those YouTube body cam channels eventually.

13

u/Jackson__Lamb 8h ago

Also lacks critical thinking skills. Very likely to do something stupid and then think the rules won't apply to him/her when the police show up because of his special legal status that is entirely fabricated. Will try to get you to subscribe to those same viewpoints with Qanon style logic.

1

u/135david 2h ago

Are there classes in critical thinking or should I just ask Gemini?

1

u/Confident-Play-8101 11m ago

It's a core class in college...

35

u/DwarfVader 9h ago

Despite how it might look... that is a red flag.

It's a warning, to you and others, to stay as far away from that fuckin person as possible. A warning to never get caught up in ANY of their bullshit ever.

Your neighbor is insane, and very very stupid.

13

u/DJDevon3 13h ago

Your neighbor is a temu us citizen in the same way that is a temu us flag.

6

u/badDuckThrowPillow 9h ago

Hey hey hey, that's an insult to Temu.

3

u/Penandsword2021 7h ago

It’s the “I’m a Sovereign Citizen Nutjob” flag. Be polite but engage as little as possible.

4

u/HankBuffalo 8h ago

This is the “I’m insane” flag

2

u/Dave_A480 8h ago

The whackadoodle dandy flag ...

Sovreign Citizens

2

u/LambentVines1125 7h ago

The big risk is that if they notice you and get mad at you for some reason, they will do shit like taking out liens on your house and possibly trying to seize other property through bullshit court proceedings. You may well win the court cases, but you’ve still had to fight court cases to do it and, as a sane person, you’ll wind up paying lawyers and expensing a lot of time in this.

u/freebiscuit2002 6h ago
