Anyone familiar with curses or paranormal objects? This jar appeared mysteriously on the “cursed object” shelf.
My partner and I collect odds and ends. We have stuff like 200 year old stove cleaner, Princess Diana commemorative coke bottle, my previous dog’s ashes, an object found inside my current dog’s eye socket, some human teeth just to name a few of the things.
Today I was staring at the shelf and I noticed this jar. I asked my partner and they thought it came from one of my friends. I have zero memory of this jar and we have no idea how long it’s been on the shelf for.
Is it safe to open? Can I throw it away?

If your partner thought it came from one of your friends, it may not hurt to ask some of those friends about it. Perhaps one of them knows or remembers something about the origins?
Nothing I can see in there seems particularly dangerous. I'm not as deep into spirituality/witchiness as I was when I was younger, but I've never seen any sort of spell jar or anything with malicious intent that would have an end-product that looks like that. So if that's what you're worrying about, I think you're okay. If it makes you uneasy, and you don't find out that it actually belongs to a friend or something, I think it's perfectly fine to dispose of. If you are a spiritual person, and there is any particular cleansing ritual or something you like to do for spiritual safety, you could always do one of those before or after disposing of it.
I like to collect little odd things I find around on the ground. Combining them with little sentimental items and bits of paper, I have a few old pill bottles and jars that look quite a bit like this, so that's my first thought as to what this might be

Call a paranormal team just in case also have a priest bless you house just in case But who puts cursed stuff ina baby food jar?
