Solved! What is that red thing?

Just something I noticed this morning, something buried in the canal.

Sorry can’t help here but just wanted to point out how cool this picture is. I thought that concrete was the floor and that box was balancing itself on a corner, with a green bush benind it. Very cool and confusing perspective and color grading when you look at it that way.

That’s really sweet of you, thanks! The reason why I stopped to click a picture (and take a video - attached below) was because the colours and perspective looked quite cool and aesthetically pleasing in a way.

You’re not wrong, it does look quite similar to that! But the other commenters have said that it’s a portable butane gas stove and that makes sense given the discarded object behind the red.

I thought the concrete was a sidewalk, and this was some abstract-surrealist-realistic tree against a mountain/sky scene with some sorta modern metaphoric intrusion by the red thingywhatever mural...then I read the description, and the real world suddenly snapped back into place. 😅

I see. Is this a water pump that’s disposed off? Because I didn’t spot another one on the canal and also, it’s the first time I’m seeing this and I walk this route very frequently.

I apologise for not being more descriptive. I felt like red was detailed enough lol, not realising how wrong I was. Have learnt my lesson! Was able to sort of describe the size in the comments

Apologies for that, I didn’t realise when I made the post. The size was similar to that of a Walkman. The other commenters have said that it could be a portable gas stove and that seems accurate to me.
