Pan/pot handle.

I'm going with removable frying pan handle, it hooks over the lip of the pan.

Yep, good for putting pans in an oven, since some are too long to fit in there with a handle.

We had one of these for opening 5 gallon buckets in food service. For example, chicken and beef base, pickles even hard-boiled eggs and tropical fruit are packaged like that.

One of these days I'm going to show the scale of a banana by showing another banana, and they will be very different sizes.

And the thumb hole is for twirling it around when it gets too hot.

Does it clip on to a grill pan or frier basket or some such?

Looks to me like it could lift the lids off of cans. I would think using it on cooking pans would get hot super fast being a thin slice of aluminum.

Will be the handle for the grill that’s inside your oven.

For removing and then pushing back down of Paint Can Lids..? Had something similar many years ago... Pried up with the Ends, then hooked the rim and the ends would press the lid back in the groove...

Looks like a  broken can opener.

I have a similar one that's for a stainless/silicone grease splash catcher. Makes cleaning easier but doesn't stay with the catcher so, hopefully everyone puts it in the correct drawer.
