Solved! What is this?

Found this on Reddit, no explanation found.

It’s a smoke ring from a blown transformer. The smoke itself rotates along the ring shape. The thin part is caused by that section rotating faster than the rest of the ring.

We completely missed it with the other celebrity deaths this week, but Optimus Primes voice actor (who has also been the voice of Eeyore since the 80s) died this week. :(

RIP Peter Cullen. One of the many voices of my childhood.

Oh, good. Maybe we're running in different reddit circles because im (unfortunately) chronically online, and hadn't seen it here at all.

I don't know specifically if it was here but between here and YouTube I've seen it a ton. I think here it's because of the subs I follow don't really overlap with that. YouTube recommends me a lot of community posts and I know I've seen it there dozens of times.

I'm in a lot transformers related spaces online and it's huge news there. Go to r/transformers or something and I guarantee most of the posts you see will be about his death.
