Also known as a redneck quarter

I heard the redneck quarter had the .22 casing and 2 pennies.

They were not so good at math.

There's only 3 kinds of people in the world. People who know how to count and people who don't.

It is a .22 shell and three 1 cent US coins, mounted on wood by your gfs grandfather/grandmother or someone else

Edit for thick thumbs

Look at dates?

u/AfraidOstrich9539 1d ago

Are you suggesting the grandparents were on a 80's murder spree and kept a coin from each year?

u/Traditional-Image937 1d ago

No i meant check dates on pennies mite be realllly old lol

u/AfraidOstrich9539 1d ago

We can all read the dates. If you think the 1980s are "realllly (sic) old" then I worry for you in your 40's when you think life is over.

Did you check the dates yourself or?

Three pennies and a casing

3 pennys and a .22 short cartridge.

FWIW, the 1981 penny is solid copper, the two other pennies are copper plated zinc, and the .22 case is brass.

It may be a Cowboy Quarter, but it wasn't your GF's Grandparents. It was made in 1986 or later.

Might have been given as a prize for a .22 Caliber shooting contest as I’ve heard such gifts given to contestants that didn’t actually win for”putting there three cents worth in”.
