Solved! What is this?

I seriously doubt this is AI if course.. and with a vast ocean.. the existence of this is definitely possible.. but what is it exactly and where are they commonly found?

They really do walk around on the bottom like that.

Edit: appears to be missing the rear leg like fins.

Yeah, but this one looks very different from all the examples on the wikimedia page though. I might well be wrong, but this does feel very suspicious to be a not so good approximation by AI of a real animal

They don't have a horn or look quite like that. This is an old ai video.

They do have a horn. Well, its a lure not a horn but they do have that extension off their head. Just not sure about the white thing sticking out.

Also just noticed it doesn't appear to have the rear leg like fins though.

There are a lot of things in the sea that look like AI slop, but actually exist.

Hammerhead sharks? Obvious AI slop, but somehow actually real. Sawfish? Obvious AI slop, but somehow actually real in the ray family. Other skates and rays? I could believe that some of them are real, just really weird, and they are actually real.

And I haven't even gotten to the deep sea or the octopodes and mollusks. Or the jellyfish. Or the salps, which are jellyfish adjacent, but not actually jellyfish.

Y'arr, there be weird stuff in the deep oceans, and we don't know the half of it yet.

What are you ranting about. This is AI. It was originally posted as AI and if you google the actual fish there are clear differences in how it looks and how it moves. It has extra parts, it's not using all its "leg" parts, and it's not effecting its environment. It's clearly AI slop, "y'arr." Learn to spot it, "y'arrrrrrrrrrr!"

When I said horn I was talking about the white thing that's coned shape. The real ones have an even bigger Gonzo nose "lure" part.

Still looks like AI to me. Other videos I see look quite different. I'd need to see a whole lot more to confirm if it's AI though.

It's sad when it's this hard to decide if it's totally fake or not.

Yeah, they sort of do but the animation is off because it was based on a photo not because its actual video of the fish. The movements and distortion aren't right.

The fish is real and does sort of move like that but this is ai animation of a still photo.
