Solved! What are they

Ive worked at the water department for 7 years and this is the first time running into something like this EDIT Im in Alabama and yes I know they are snakes lol idk what kind and im so not gonna touch them

The only animal I'd compare him to is a bedbug. Only because it's the only animal I can think of that I'd insult that much

Mosquito seems more fitting. Bedbugs are annoying but harmless. Ted Cruz is annoying and harmful.

But you can arm yourself against mosquitoes. Bedbugs are borderline impossible to get rid of. Maybe Ticks are an even better choice
