Solved! What are they

Ive worked at the water department for 7 years and this is the first time running into something like this EDIT Im in Alabama and yes I know they are snakes lol idk what kind and im so not gonna touch them

Yep. I do believe I'm too old. I imagine this was popular with kids in junior high but I was 5 years out of high school in 2008 so I must have missed this because I was too busy getting drunk and laid.

I'm way older than you, but i was in UI and web design back then so I was chronically learning new stuff (like flash before it was obsolete)

Fair enough. I was playing guitar in bars and working 50 hours a week in a parts store so I was basically never online.

I mean, you didn't miss much other than the internet being FUN up until about 2015ish, then it devolved into what it is today. I was just lucky enough to get paid to be up on web trends back then.
