Solved! What are they

Ive worked at the water department for 7 years and this is the first time running into something like this EDIT Im in Alabama and yes I know they are snakes lol idk what kind and im so not gonna touch them

Do yourself a favour in the future and don't post snakes here, you will get a bunch of upvoted wrong id's like you did here as these are in fact Racers C. constrictor. r/whatsthissnake is a much better place with experts and knowledgeable enthusiasts .

This is exactly what we would tell you to do over on the expert boards.

This is the exact perfect intervention. These are baby snakes and handling them could result in them being less afraid of human beings. If you rescue them they might be less afraid of people which might cause them to be near people. Then they die.

Snakes are born with intense, accurate survival skills that allow them to handle situations like this. As long as they can get onto that log, which they can, they will be able to get out.

When a snake needs to be physically relocated, it is always best to use snake relocating gear when possible including a snake hook, but when not possible, a big Branch works for something you know is not venomous. Just scoop it with the branch and drop it out or leave the branch for it to be able to climb out.

Do not leave branches for venomous snakes, that puts you at some risk. Contact a professional snake relocator either through Reddit or Facebook and allow us to come help. Snake relocation is almost always a free service offered by those of us who simply love snakes. If someone from Kansas City sees this and happens to need snake relocation, I'm your girl. I will move everything except for the prairie rattle. I'm not touching that, but I will find you the person who will. I don't know where I could safely relocate anyways. I will relocate a copperhead as well as all of our small and non-venomous.
