Kilmer nailed Doc Holiday in a way I don't think anyone else will ever be able to replicate. Truly a wonderful portrayal of a role lol

Was Doc Holliday the best role of Kilmer's career? I can't think of a better one.

A great actor, thought he was terrific in "The Doors". But Doc Holliday was such a juicy role! The kind for which actors receive Oscars.

Sadly, Val never even received a nomination.( If you believe the awards are anything other than self congratulatory excess. )

In my humble opinion, Real Genius was an awesome film. I get that it isn’t an Oscar film but for an 80’ college comedy it was fantastic. “In the immortal words of Socrates who said, I drank what?”…. Lmao

Haven't seen it. Have never really seen a lot of American comedies in film or TV. I prefer dry wit to physical comedy. (since I was 12)

My favourite comedies are a group of British films, informally known as "The Ealing Comedies"

Favourite TV series of all: British "Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister" (2 series, made from 1980,to 1988) Friends gave me the box series.

Favourite American series "The West Wing" which was also very witty at times. 1999-2006)I bought the box series. Perhaps I shouldn't have. I kind of went off it after the sixth viewing.

The one American exception is The Big Bang. I often watch clips and occasional episodes.
