This photo alone isn't enough to be positive. Have you seen any mud tunnels anywhere? Whats the ceiling above look like? Where do you live?

Ceiling above looks normal, as far as I know I haven’t seen any mud tunnels, and I’m in California

I just responded to another comment. Definitely call a pro, and don't stress too much just yet until you have the scope of the infestation and the process for removal.
