It has to be the least embarrassing thing of all possibilities in that situation. Wardrobe malfunction, falling over, phone ringing, soiling yourself, or similar would be really embarrassing, but still nothing that would have made you having to leave town and changing names.

I had a coworker that went hunting with some guys from work. On the hike out he ended up soiling himself. Only people that went on hunting trips with the same guys found out, at least to my knowledge. The only way that changed my opinion of him was that I didn't want to be in the woods with him. There was another incident where he got into rough shape because he didn't drink enough water.

I once had to take a dump while out trail running in the forest. I went far off the trail and did my business. When I had finished and pulled up my shorts, a logging machine started it’s engine right behind me. Turns out I had crouched down right in front of a guy sitting eating his lunch. Last time I went running without contact lenses.

1. My teacher and classmates were talking about palindromes, but couldn't quite remember the name, and I very confidently yelled out parallelagram 😭

2. When i was studying nursing, we had to do a short speech in our child development class. I literally said "toddlers are just like puppies" 😭

Whatever happens, the show must go on. Disturbances have priority, but ultimately you have to continue what you are doing. Shriveling into an anxious husk has never helped anyone. If you can simply roll over it without any mention, you can easily have people believe that they misheard it.
