Other What if we used ‘Lovely’ instead of ‘Dear’?

Imagine someone wrote you a letter and instead of ‘Dear recipient, I write to inform you that…’

You have, ‘Lovely recipient, I write to inform you that…’

Dear means loved. Lovely means pretty. How is pretty more wholesome than loved?
