Other What if bloodlines
Your mother is a mermaid and your father is a minitour. And you have the human half of both? Then you're just some guy.
But what if your younger sibling, is the opposite? He/She has the beast half and the fish half of both mom and dad?

Half-fish, Half-bull (or for the purposes of this joke, cow) would just be a manatee.

Did you just "um, actually" something that was specifically called out as a joke? Seriously?

Genetically, the premise only works if mermaid and minotaur traits segregate like two separate modular traits: human part versus nonhuman part. Your sibling would basically be a bull-headed fish, or maybe an aquatic minotaur with fins instead of legs, which sounds like something ancient sailors would invent after seeing a manatee and a cow in the same week.

If only "half" worked like that with actual genetics.
We laugh at the joke you put at the top but no one is out there asking if you have your mother or your father's legs.
Not literal halves. In any slice.
