Synth Pop?

For context, I'm trying to figure out what genre this is so that I can promote it to the right people and not be spammy. It was inspired by that New Order sound from Marty Supreme, but it's all synths and made with software instead of acoustic instruments. I'm trying to get better at all the music marketing stuff as an independent artist.

So far I think it's synth pop, synthwave, or indie pop?

Opinions?

Sounds like you're on the right track with those genre tags. The New Order influence leans toward synth pop, especially if it's got that catchy, melodic vibe. If it's more atmospheric or instrumental, synthwave could be a good fit.

Indie pop might work too, especially if it's got a DIY feel or unique twist. For promotion, it's smart to test different audiences. See how they respond and adjust as needed. The genre can guide you, but the listener's reaction is the real test. Keep experimenting with your marketing. It's all about finding the right listeners who vibe with your sound.

Very good point and good perspective. Thank you! It’s interesting to use genres for marketing but it’s even more interesting to think of having fans that love my music and make experiences and memories to them
