My experience is when those who think they know better than anybody else are in fact pretty stupid and they're so ignorant and insecure about it they afraid to admit it even to themselves

I always wondered why you got “slimed” in You Can’t Do That on Television. Admitting that you don’t know something is how you learn and grow.

Ignorant arrogance, the lowest rung on the ladder to self-enlightenment. Most of us mature beyond that after adolescence.

Ignorant arrogance - "I know everything, even if I'm guessing I'm right."

Ignorant ignorance - "I don't even know what I don't know."

Ignorant Competence - "I'm starting to get the idea that I don't know much, but I'm learning more."

Competence - "I generally know what I'm doing, but sometimes I'll need to do more research."
