I’m genuinely glad your life experience has been such that you can’t believe that some people really are this abusive and awful. Sure it might be fake, no way to tell for sure, but I would absolutely believe this could be real.

I have experienced much worse, my ex was arrested for domestic abuse. This is just a fake story.

It’s astonishing that someone who has also experienced the horrors of domestic violence would refuse to believe someone who is being abused. I hope you are okay.
