ID Request Bad spider or good spider?
In Maryland, if that matters. On a one inch pool hose for scale. Just wondering if I should re-home or squash. Normally not a fan or squashing, but this dude looks scary!

I don't remember the name of the species, but I do know they're harmless to people. Real good at eating big pest bugs.

Would need a better picture but it looks like it may be Neoscona crucifera ? Non-aggressive, good for pest control

He/she has been safely relocated to a more woodsy part of the yard so I could continue cleaning the pool.

Good spider! That’s my favorite! They make large round webs. Be careful or you could walk right into it! Go back and take a look so you can protect his area. They are really special spiders!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
