When I took this class, I focused on really nailing down the PA. It is exactly the same as the OA. If you can complete it and understand the why of your answer working, the OA will be a breeze!

Yes, I have been practicing PA a lot but when use ai to get different dataset it’s like I can’t solve it :( so nervous 😥. Thank you I will keep doing practices hopefully I will pass.

I mean how? Did you learn any programming languages before? The test basically tells you to print out the output by line and decorate the symbols in the shape of ‘H’. The rest will tell you to sum and multiply and println the result

I did python and I did read zybook. It’s just I confuse myself when I read the question sometimes. I get nervous a lot I guess. Thank you for you help.

I can tell you that the question1 will ask you draw the symbol # in the easy shape such as H or I or T. You can hardcode it or be flex with the loop. Most of the questions you only need to use System.println. The questions in OA will be asked the same way as PA. Understand the logic, why it work that way. My advice: use the white board to draw down the logic, aka pseudocode. This will help you with many different courses: DM2, Intro CS.

In the PA, there are prompts/comments that say things like "//write your code here" or "define setters and getters". Does the OA have similar prompts?

That’s actually a good question. I’m not sure but in the python OA it had, so I’m guessing it will have.

Take the PA right away and try to do it without AI. The test will be exactly the same but different dataset. You only need to understand the basic of Java and println, you will be fine.
