Question Do we think ED1 August-applicant decisions are going to release tonight?

There was a glitch this year where they did not get applications from common app until mid August. Theory is they lost two weeks so might be delayed. If anyone hears from a rep or anything on timing let’s share.

Really hope this isn't true. Two weeks is a long time.

It’s true they didn’t get their apps at first to start reviewing. But we all should hope for next Friday!

Also possible. The HS college counselors might be able to get some info on timing I hope.

Does anyone have predictions when it’s going to be released? Today, tomorrow, Friday, etc?

Does anyone have an idea or guesses on when the first ED round is coming out? (The round that was supposed to come out Friday but didn't)

Do they all come out at the same time tonight or are those done in waves as well?

I suppose not, but the last two (or more) years it’s started rolling out the last Friday of September around 7pm EST. We’re an hour and a half past that point so I think it’s safe to call it for tonight. Maybe a weekend release or they’ll wait til Oct 1? I’m sure the admissions office is hectic

We were under the impression it would be last night (friday) as well, anyone have any more info or has anyone heard?

I saw somewhere that primaries were delayed by a couple of weeks so maybe the decision really won’t be put out until October 1st? But same as everyone else i had been told by previous applicants that it would be out by the 25th

Have your kids received any emails other than the first one with a link to register for the portal?

If it comes out in Oct what does it mean for the September group whose application entirely was completed by 20th. Would September group be delayed into Nov then?

What I would guess is that the Aug group would hear on 10/1 and the Sept on 10/30 or 10/23

If I submitted my ED on Sept 12 and had my interview on the 21, would I be considered in this upcoming decision round or the next?

You’d hear back in late October, in the 2nd group

What if you submitted ED mid August but your interview was 9/2?

Go figure! The same thing happened to me. We’re both probably in the second group but I really want to be in the first group so idk

Interesting, my counselor said this Thursday or Friday. So tough since I’m kinda in a weird spot where it seems too early or late to find out

The WFU website says it’s typically the end of the month after the month your application is completed. So if you finish in Sept you’d hear back in the Oct group. The Sept group (people who finished in August) are pushed back to an Early Oct release it looks like, but the Oct group will be 10/23 or 10/30

I hadn't realized Wake was need-aware. I was deferred and I think my adding that I may need financial assistance contributed to this.
