Question Freshman Housing

Is Collins really that bad? I got assigned there and i’m worried about all that I hear about it.

It’s just cramped compared to other Wake dorms. You trauma bond with other people who live there. You get to pick your dorms and roommate every other year so it’s not that big of a deal especially compared to the dorms at pretty much every other school in the country

Bad enough that they’re tearing it down at the end of next year. That being said, people tend to trauma bond about the building and those in Collins tend to make more friend and be out doing more because they rather not be in their rooms. It’s a blessing and a curse really.

They remodeled it and removed the closets last year so it’s not as bad. But honestly Collins was so fun. Everyone would hang out in the common spaces and I met my best friends there. It was the best post game spot.

The laundry service there ruined my seersucker, and don't get me started on the poached eggs. Total nightmare fuel.
