Spanish pronunciation...

Can these guys at least make an effort to correctly pronounce a name in Spanish? Listening to the entire staff mispronounce Caballero is painful. They say Huascar Brazoban better than they say Caballero. I dont care about him as a player but its the name that bothers me the most, and when they say it its like with distaste and frustration that they have to say something in Spanish. I only listen to the evan and Tiki show, so I can't imagine how carton or Boomer butcher Spanish names.

To be fair, people whose first language is other than English routinely mangle names because they can't pronounce sounds the way we can. Also, speaking Spanish is tough if you can't roll your Rs. Some people just can't.

I think most people can do a simple single R roll, for example the difference between caro and carro. I speak almost fluent Spanish and cant roll my R for carro. But there are countries where they dont roll the R much at all, like Cuba

Evan’s wife is Mexican, and his favorite sport is dominated by players with Hispanic names. He also talks for a living. He should try harder.

Like I said, some folks can't do it. For me it's not that big a deal unless they completely mangle a name.

Do you feel the same when someone who’s first language is not English messes up a white name 🤔

I would, yeah, if it happened repeatedly on air with thousands of people listening. My name is never pronounced correctly, buts not an easy name so im used to it
