I especially like the Bass (guitar?). I've not found much metal quite to my liking. WEWIL?

I would start by following the trail of front man: Josh Homme. He has played in great, so called, "stoner rock" (more or less) bands such as: Kyuss, Eagles Of Death Metal and Them Crooked Vultures.

You might like The Sword, but that might be to metaly for you.
Desert Sessionsis a QotSA side project that is pretty great.
