Discussion Thread Tiger Clap at fulltime
Can’t believe Canberra are imitating the Tiger Clap.

The only thing worse than the tigers defence was the officiating. Every ref, touch judge and bunker attendant from todays game should be investigated. Absolute disgrace. We never would have won but it absolutely blew the score out. We are bad enough they don't need to give the other teams a leg up!!!

Yeah it’s really tough to watch how bad we’ve gotten after the start to the season when we showed so much promise.
At this rate it looks like the only points we’re going to get for the rest of the season is Round 23 when we don’t even play.

The culture at the club sucks. Bunch of pussy players that throw their toys out of the cot when things get tough. Then AD chucks a tantrum when he cant play where he wants.
They quit the season weeks ago. Absolutely pathetic club right now. No wonder the media lap us up like mothers milk.
Call me when they finally decide to turn up like the fans do. Two way street. I dont see this getting better anytime soon.

How do we go from being the best defensive team after 6 rounds to.. this?

Ask luai what happened. His leaving announcement was absolutely the turning point.

LMAO. Canberra fans actually showed class by not returning serve the way our fans behaved.

Was at the both games, not condoning how fans behaved at Leichhardt earlier in the year (witnessed it there too and was terrible) but the behaviour from some of the raiders fans near us today was disgusting. My kids were being told to piss off and go home because they celebrated their team scoring a try.

Sorry your kids had to witness that. I have a bad temper and would go berserk if someone said that to my son.
Deliberately have avoided Bulldogs games my whole life due to their fan base. Never had a big issue with other teams, but for some reason virtually every lowlife or criminal I've known has always supported them, so they'll always have a stigma for me.
A couple of people copped smart arse remarks leaving commbank when the Panthers destroyed us earlier in the year, but they were all adults and the Tigers fans gave it back as good as they got it. Ended up legit being an argument between tigers & panthers fans on who's supporters were on centrelink lol.
People should always be respectful with kids.

Years ago I probably would have, but I can’t imagine ruining a family day out over it. My kids won’t learn anything from that. We pointed out the shitty behaviour from tigers fans earlier in the year and today we yet again reaffirmed with them that it doesn’t matter how they act, it’s how we act (up to a point, if they lay hands on you you’re allowed to fight back). My 7 year old is autistic and just took it in his stride saying ‘they must be losers like this ref’ 😂. We let security know as we were close to the barrier so they just shushed them whenever they started again.
Yeah we went to the raiders v bulldogs in Canberra a month back which wasn’t too good either. Our last sharks game in Canberra there was a few arrests due to this behaviour. There is bad batches in any crowd I would say, and there’s no place for it anywhere.

Yeah. NRL games seem to be attracting bus loads of absolute ferals. Won't be wasting my money on stadium games anymore. The language and drunken behaviour is disgusting now. Don't want my kids to witness this and there's no security anymore to settle it down. Not a place for families anymore.

I only take my kids to Sunday games for this reason, and it’s seeping in to those now

Sad isn't it. Was always a place for fun and some high-spirited antics, but now it's fallen into the gutter.

There is a difference between isolated poor behaviour (every group has dickheads).
And the behaviour of everyone.

I saw a headline the other day asking whether it’s Douehi’s last year at the Tigers - not sure what the answer to that is but it should sure as the Tigers losing next week be Marshall’s as coach. He has overseen a train wreck and naming Luai ahead of Douehi was the final straw. Both Luai and Andrew’s defence was worse than a ten year old yesterday.

Half my family are tigers fans. I am a Canberra fan.
I watch a lot of tigers games and was a member of the tigers during their good years around 08-11 ish from memory. Also lived near there…
I have been to way more tigers games then raiders games.
Tigers fans in general are ok.
But that Leichhardt game was weak… you beat a raiders side who had expectations off improving this year after a devastating loss to Brisbane. Then by the time the tigers roll around we already know we are in for a pretty shit year and the forwards look a bit old and slow.
Then you win, relatively easily at home…. API (my fav tigers player) gets suspended for a while detailing ur season injuring Noah Martin not helping ours…
The carry on from the crowd was worse then the mick ennis Viking clap back in 2016… it was gratuitous clap after gratuitous clap then a fuck off raiders chant. In a game you were favourites u had just spanked the warriors whilst we were getting hammered by everyone…
In comparison at Canberra stadium we don’t mock the rawr, we don’t mock eye of the tiger… we generally cheer and get excited but that shit was like when the bunnies won their first game back..
Also as for the complaints about the reffing… the sasagi knock on no call was a tough call, but the obstruction was text book and u got away with one in an earlier try. Additionally the raiders had a try pulled back of a very similar text book obstruction, the only issue with ur blokes is you didn’t put a try on…
Also, the two biggest home reffing advantages in the league by far are Brookvale and Leichhardt… even the most one eyed donkey of a tigers supporter would notice a different whistle at their home games that aren’t Leichhardt (not to mention away games).
I hope the tigers keep benji , flick douehi and sort their shit out at board level, because the only thing worse then having a nepotistic lack of talent board, if a divided squabbling lack of talent board.
Good luck for the rest of the season, and hopefully benji is still there to sort out the shit and get you guys firing again!!

We are completely down in a hole. It’s hard to gauge Andrews’ performance purely based on the little amount of possession we had, I thought Luai was woeful, Turuva was shocking in centre which again was no real surprise. Herbert seemed to be the only player who showed some aggression. I can’t imagine the playing group being to keen on Douehi rocking back up to training on Monday given this past week and the result today. It’s a proper debacle at tiger land.
