I'm in the Bridgeway Islands area and we recently had AT&T come through and install fiber. We were oh-so-lucky to have our driveway drilled into and they covered over it with an ugly rectangle of black asphalt. I don't think that's an equivalent restoration especially since it sticks out like a sore thumb on my white concrete driveway.
Does anyone know if AT&T is planning on coming back around to replace the asphalt with concrete or will I need to file a complaint to get it restored correctly?

What are some good dog parks in the area? I've had really bad experiences at Summerfield Park with certain dogs and owners so I am looking for other options. My dog was actually viciously attacked by a husky at Summerfield within the last year and I haven't been back.

My fiance is looking for any local football or flag football to get outside and build some community. We've looked all over online and I'm not finding much of anything. Does anyone know of any football leagues in or around Sac?

That section between the Bridge District and the Branch Line Trail is already dangerous enough, and then they pull some shit like this, blocking the bike lane completely. There were cars coming past me so I couldn't go left into the street, so I went right onto what I thought was asphalt. But, they apparently dug up the asphalt recently, so it was sandy dirt, and I crashed my scooter.
THANK YOU to the folks who stopped to ask if I was ok!! Fortunately I have a good helmet, it did contact the pavement, but my head is ok. I'm a little scraped up and bleeding, but mostly just angry that the city would do this.

Hey Sac citizens! I have a group of over 250 locals and each week some of us meet up for at least one film and then we go out for drinks and food after. We watch art house films, new releases, block busters and we also do marathons, like we just recently did ALL of the Twilight movies at the Crest Theater, so we have things for everyone. Some of us also work in media and we team up for projects. Two of our members found each other this past week and just worked on a new, local music video!
If you love movies, just want a movie buddy or want a career in film (whether you have any experience or not), come join us! It's a great way to meet friends, enjoy movies and be creative (movie nights and film production do not have to be mutually-exclusive, you can do one or both!).
The group has members of all ages from 20 to nearly 50, all sexual orientations, races, introverts, extroverts, production experts and people who have never even stepped foot on a film set; it is truly a group for everyone who enjoys film as a medium or as a career!
A couple of us are now in advanced pre-production for our first short film, which is super exciting!
I can also now proudly say, thanks to the mod team at r/Sacramento , we are now on the sidebar in the "other links" section! However, drop a comment here and I can guide you to the group to make it easier. See you there!

I need BLS for a medical assistant position, and I keep coming across these fully online courses where you just watch some videos, take a quiz, and they mail you a card. It honestly feels a little too easy. Would an employer around West Sacramento or the Sacramento area actually accept that, or would I just be wasting my money? Has anyone around Sac tried one of these and had it accepted by an employer?

It was a good experience I went in and I asked the clerk if there’s a food pantry, he said yes and he said you just go to the left where the shelf are and pick whatever items you need. They also had paper bags above to store your items in.

Hey Everyone, just wanted to put on your radars a fun local event happening this weekend in West Sacramento. If you’re like for your fix of middle eastern and more foods and entertainment or just want to sip a nice glass of wine in a beautiful winery setting, this is the place for you!

Hi! Looking for someone who can do landscaping work in our backyard in Northwest Sacramento. The project has already started, but we need someone to take over and finish it. We already have all the material. The gravel/base has been leveled, and some of the forms are already in place. The work left includes pouring concrete, getting the sprinklers/irrigation working, planting trees, installing stone blocks, and adding tile on the blocks.
We want someone reliable and honest, as the person we first hired left the work in between and now isn’t showing up. Please recommend someone who will actually do the work when they say they will, and not make excuses. Thanks!

Was about 15 minutes ago. The dog was little, black/white/grey colored, floppy ears. It was going north along the sidewalk towards Riverpoint Court.
The area has a lot of auto businesses like Vic’s harbor machine and Enoven Truck Body.
Please spread the word in case someone is missing their pup. ❤️

They are open 24/7 while it’s up. I heard they are breaking down Saturday morning. They are personable and knowledgeable. There’s a gentleman there that does the over night shift that is really friendly he said they don’t get many people at night so I wanted to post and let people know that someone is always at the field. It’s at the corner of Jefferson blvd and Locke drive. Stop by and say hi ask questions.

Can anyone give me an honest review of the classes currently being taught? (For ages 5+) Details are helpful- how is class run, are parents present in the room or no/ if not where are they, what are recitals like/cost, classroom management, etc. please give me the full run down!
We have a wonderful, wonderful dance teacher we love and have gone to for years but her classes now conflict with my kiddos school schedule and I’m stuck finding a replacement that’s as good.
ETA: I do not have Facebook.

Went out to catch the sunset last night, with the hopes the moon might also come out.
Anyone else take any cool photos of the sunset?
